Re: Is this a good deal?

The more I look at the package, the more I’m sold on it. The 5kg and 1300rpm is what we have on our 16year old Hoover, and clothes come out of that particularly dry, and I don’t think anything over 6kg will be much point anyway, of what you guys have said. Does anyone have a Miele machine, what are they like to use, are they quiet?
And Miele are offering a free 5 year warranty (yes free!) on the lower end machines if bought before a certain time before November, and the dryer too, if they’re brought together, which these would be.

    Better than most, yes.

    Reasonable deal, relative. 😉

Do you need a better spin, capacity etc., only you can decide that.

    K.

Im in a family of 4, second youngest, so theres quite a mass of washing, but most of it apart from sheets and towels go on the line, so probably a fast spin speed might be quite good. Maybes the other two i think.

Or hows about these from Empire Direct:

    Miele T8422C Tumble Dryer

    Miele W3824W Washing Machine

    seem electrically unbeatable, cheapest available!

Re: Is this a good deal?

Wait a min, i think the question i meant to ask, was whether this itself sounds like a good buy, even though they’re the basic ones with only a 5kg microhole drum and 1300rpm spin, they still have the bombproof reliability and durability of a tank and are a lot better than the other cheap s**t available, so basically, do i need the machines with the gadgets and widgets, (the W3922 and the T8622 to be precise) or will these suffice?

Agro do the x1.1 for £199.99 which seems to be a typical price. We want an upright anyway, easier to store. So Sebo automatic x1 it is then
just a question, how is pronounced?

Of what I’ve heard the older ones were crap, but others said they have had no problems with them. Are Whirlpool generally quite reliable?

No, but according to the website, the 150watt electric floor head is an option

Sebo, arent they made for commercial apps?
If they’re good enough for that, then they’ll be good enough for me

Found the K3 Vulcano in comet for £199.95, but i find it hard to believe that it doesnt have auto-cable rewind and a turbo head for a vac of that calibre, or is it comet telling porkies?

    Re: VAX Cyclonic Upright Vacuum

Rightie o. About the Vax, we have had enough of it, floor suction seems good, but the hose is a different matter. Erh, James Dyson, so cyclonics are powerful eh? I dont think so, bagged are best, our old Numatic Henry still seems to pull the carpet up.
But we’re thinking of upgrading to a Miele one, i preferably like the one on the advert, but the S5210 might suffice, any opinions?

Perhaps, but it says in the spare part directry, that Caple comes under the Fagor group of companies. Still they could own them but not nessecary that they’re made in Spain. Look at Ford, they’re supposed to be from the big U.S but made in Germany previously Dagenham.
