    Re: Condenser tumble dryer

Dont look at any of the merloni jobs, by that i mean Indesit, hotpoint and servis and even creda for that matter, very unreliable of what i’ve heard. Zanussi and Whirlpool are quite good brands at that price bracket.

Bingo!! Take a look at this one fantastic value from a good brand, from oops.. Currys! What a good start If im recommending the opposition.

Thanks for that, that I will do, but I’m unsure when the actual Christmas period starts, i thought it would be in November when people are clever enough like everybody else to start shopping, but id still be in term. Maybes i have to talk nice to my teacher perhaps if that is the case….

Re: Top arm not turning – Candy CD622

Sounds like a worn out arm bearing, which looks like a new complete arm I’m afraid. Another thought, would be whether there is a drop in water pressure, which could be the wash pump, but I would concentrate on the arm.
There could also be a leak, springing from the backpipe or the arm, or a blockage in the pipe or arm, as this would stop the pressurised water from spinning the arm around.

Im not sure what the fault could be, but IMO it sounds like a faulty inlet valve is not closing properly. I might be wrong…

Re: Siemens top sprayarm no water

Alternating spray is supposed to save water, many dishwashers on the market currently feature it and the higher end manufacturers have been using the system for years, especially the Bosch group. Has the machine got a bottom half load feature and maybe you’ve accidently programmed it by mistake, as that would only pump water to the bottom spray arm?

I’d also give it a try, with a full wash cycle, then you’ll really see whether the top arm works.
And then if that doesn’t work, I’d have a look at the spray arm, maybes they are dirty, bits of food can get lodged in the holes and consequently stop the water from escaping.
By the way, how can you tell the sprayarm isn’t working without having the door open, and that would prevent it from working completely.

What are you studying in college and which college or Uni are you at, why do you want to give it up ?

    Jim.

I’d like to do some form of CAD design , like product design or architecture, and I’m very nimble with a computer so I have no trouble there, I’m currently at Selby college studying Graphic design, but it doesn’t seem to have any link with what I want to do, I mean all we do, is draw, animation, painting and stuff on Photoshop and of course designing packaging and posters, all of which I can do already, so what I’m thinking of doing is finding a job to get some cash and see what other university or college I can go to. Hope I haven’t bored anyone…..

Intellegent, reasoned discussion and debate is what we like to achieve in these forums. Hysterical rants just don’t cut it, I’m afraid.

    Neither does Ecover.

    Penguin45.

Sorry about that everyone, but when i get on my soapbox, i get on my soapbox. Maybes i should go in politics.
But i disagree with anyone who knocks Ecover, it works brilliantly and leaves a natural mild fragrance rather than an overpowering stench, and its the only sort of powder and tablets that dissolve thoroughly in the cycle. Say what you want, but i think we should all be using it.

    Re: Degergentless Washing Machine

OMG what a load of s**t, pardon my French. That is the most rubbish thing i have ever heard, so much for saving the environment, yah right, clothes will need extra washing, and the machine will be wasting water and elecy for nothing. we use Ecover bio detergent and works just as well as the leading brand, without the overpowering ‘fake’ fragrance, and that being Haier as well, well lets say it won’t last a day for you to see if it works (hehehe)!!

And i’ve posted on the link, to tell what i think of it.

I know the ones with the Honeycomb care system can have a higher spin speed, but surely the machine should be limiting the speed. If the guarantee is still applicable, I’d get them out.

    Re: IS HAIER ACTUALLY BOSCH

Here here, Penguin. I totally agree. It really really gets my back up when people buy a cheap product, and after a couple of months, it breaks down- bang there goes the module, and then they moan and wonder why. I mean durrhh, theres a reason its cheap, its literally common sense that no one on earth would make an expensive quality product like a Miele or Asko and sell it on for tuppence they’d go out of business straight away. Really in my opinion, we are a stupid country.
