I dont think that it would need a look, since it has been used previously before we acquired it, as it is around 6-7 years old, the damage should already have been done if it were about to happen wouldnt it?

How do we get into the machine, the back and sides, how do they come off?

ParticipantRe: Hoover New Wave Making Strange Sounds
At the weekend, we thought we had cracked our overheating problem. The machine successfully completed a 2 wash without any problems whatsoever. I try it today, and about an hour in, it starts draining, and all the lights start flashing, opened the door, and the water didn’t seem boiling, but about 60 which it should of been. While it were flashing, i could not do anything with it, so i turned it off with the button, and when i switched it on, the ‘extra rinse’ light came on, and the machine started taking in water.
What is it doing and why?

Well, I’ve tried it out this morning, and was very impressed. I think Jim might agree, but the Braun gives a very close shave, unlike the Philips and my face wasn’t left dry and sore unlike with the Philips.
Cleaning function is good, and all round I am impressed with it. Although the shaver and the cleaner are very noisey, not good to clean the shaver at night.adamhornsby
ParticipantRe: recomendations for new integrated washer
Depends really, as Don said, both manufacturers are good in their field. Personally, if it was upto me, I would go for the Neff.
If you take a look in Magnet, you will find both the Neff and AEG machines.adamhornsby

Do you really need an integrated model? For the same price as an integrated one, you can get a freestanding model, loaded with a better spec.

I got it! Went to Meadowhell today, and bought it, from Boots. Looks very stylish when I got it out of the box, looks susprisingly easy to use too. Its also very good to see it has been Made in Germany, shows Braun still have some values.
I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet, will have tommorow morning, so I’ll report back tommorrow afternoon.adamhornsby

Hehe. Who is that, any of you guys? No, I shave because the hairs obviously look unsightly, and well they dont impress the lasses, nor would I look the part in my new job.

How do you mean by that Penguin?

Jim, I do need a shaver, believe me. I’m currently using a Philips, an old one of my dads. He has used Philips shavers ever since he started. But I’m not entirely struck on this one, it doesn’t seem to cut properly. I know Braun have been around for yonks and make very good hand blenders, but what are the shavers like, i think it was the 8985 i have seen, and it will have to be an investment, i will be using it for a long time.
Does the foil work better than the cutters, the cutters don’t seem to get all the stubble, unless they are blunt or its just me doing the whole thing wrong?
