Samsung B1245 door lock & connecting plug melted

Hi

Very common fault and a couple have been a bit more than melted wires. The new pcb has a different circuit on it and will need to be replaced. Personally I would tell the customer to reclaim full cost back from Samsung as it is a known defect by Samsung.

Swan domestic appliance (name)( washers ect ) are owned by the Littlewoods group.

Serviced by NESN and the parts are exclusive and only available from littlewoods WHILST THEY ARE UNDER WARRANTY.. after the warranty period then the parts are NOT available ( quote from NESN ).

Full model correct model number would help but at a guess its either RS21 or SRS20 range.

The ice tray has been refitted upside down,remove the ice mould and refit the correct way up.If it then fails again dependent on the model depends if its the ice maker or the pcb that will need to be replaced.

i have samsung rs21fcsv that overnight has decided to trip all our electrics ,when i unplug the samsung i can reset the trip switch but as soon as i plug the samsung in again it again trips the fuses

The unit has a earthing failure and please…DO NOT continue to switch it on and off !!!!. You are liable to have a BIG problem if you do.

I am just mooting at the idea of using the iPad for job sheet and impose it on invoice as there are some great apps for that

The one we use is Invoice to go on the iPad for chargeable which also allows you to e-mail the receipt.

I e-mail the job sheets in pdf and then we fill the details serial no’s ect using soft sign.then e-mail them back to the office.

blower and that does a great job….but no good in the customers
houses… unless you take the motors out the machine and take
them outside,i also use my henry hoover with a paint brush

Standard defrost sensor will fit.Just coil the excess wire behind the light housing.

normally a double yellow wire with a black bullet end or it could be a double white wire with a bullet end on the evaperator in the freezer section.

If its vertical then its the defrost sensor,if it’s horizontal then the fan has either failed or jammed.

Normal cause of icing up if the manufacturer NOT securing the defrost heater plug into its socket correctly causing the unit not to defrost correctly and short.

Place pcb in a shallow saucepan of boiling water and simmer away and that will melt the gel.

changover a new double oven

If their electrician has stated that it’s ok to instal like that then I personally would say let him have the liability as a double oven requires its own 30amp supply.
