As this is a holiday home i suspect that you don’t have the heating used very often also not knowing where it is. It would be advisable to use the low ambient switch which is next to the thermostat knob. A universal thermostat will fit into the thermostat housing also. If you still have the plastic disc which is on some of the older models between the thermostat holding disc and the rear fridge wall then remove it and leave it off.
This model doesn’t have a diverter valve and works on the principle of the refrigerant going through the freezer compartment first which would get colder first before the fridge temperature drops. Simply put.

Check that the pipework hasn’t been bent or moved by anything behind the appliance. if it is the compressor then it will be a compressor replacement. BUT a noisy compressor can continue to work for years before it actually fails.

If the washing program is active and the motor control unit gets no signal from the tacho generator, the first time the failure occurs a pause of 1minute is executed. This repeats 30 times. If once happen that motor work O.K. than all previous failure must be deleted. When the failure is detected the 31 time’s the washing program is stopped immediately. If the temperature is higher that 60°C than cool down with cold water 30 seconds. Then pumping water 2 minutes. STOP the program. The failure will be displayed.

How old is this unit ? could be evap sensor shorting out but dependent if its the whirlpool variant.

check your cupboards for wall swtches. so many times i’ve attended appliances that are simply turned off by accident… other than that plug something else into the socket to check for power…
