Re: Why do some oven elements last longer than others

    Hi

Ive found that a lot of the clamps that are on them are crimped too tight which then does not allow the element to expand and contract full but restricts the movement.. Yes they look all nice and neat but hot metal has to be given enough room to move. I have removed several of the clamps that have been too tight and have pressed into the outer sheaf.

Re: Indesit D63 possibly not taking enough water

It seems that the problem is not the damaged top spray bar seal. Although the top spray bar does now appear to be spinning again.

The problem appears to be around program number 3.
If I put the unit on a full cycle, when it reaches program 3, around the mid point, the water is drained away, but the heating element is running.
I can usually tell, as it doesn’t sound right when it’s trying to pump, what little (if at any) water around.
In the short term, we are running the unit on a quick wash (program 5)
    Any thoughts ?

Opti-myst® uses unique, state-of-the-art technology to present the most realistic flame and smoke effect ever seen in an electric fire, and will captivate you the moment you see it. The fully 3-dimensional effect uses ultra-sonic technology to create an ultra fine water mist that is illuminated to create what appear to be flames and smoke, an illusion so realistic it is difficult to distinguish from the real thing. Combined with Optiglo® glowing logs and shimmering ashbed, Opti-myst® produces an effect which surpasses all expectations for realism in an electric fire. Additionally this superior flame effect can be used independently of heat, so you can still enjoy the cosiness of the flames on dark mild evenings, or even when the central heating is on, without overheating.

As well as silent operation, the Cassington also features a 2kW heat output, choice of heat settings, thermostatic and remote control, and is finished in a smart, modern grey. Plus, the Cassington comes with extended life, Dichroic Xenon bulbs and is virtually maintenance free. Finally, as with all Dimplex electric fires, you get the added reassurance of BEAB safety approval, which means the X1S has been produced to the most stringent safety requirements for domestic electrical appliances.

    Hi

Bio Fresh isn’t a functional part other than its a temperature setting approx 1 oc .

In principle if the fridge is working then bio fresh would be working.Better used for meats ect which keeps longer at 1 oc .Other than that the unit works as normal.

I like the option as it allows my BEER to be kept at the optimal temperature.

    Hi

If the compressor is getting hot then if it’s a r134a system then it would normally be due to a restriction or the compressor has failed and dependent on age and how long its been running like this end up needing a new compressor. How big is the unit ? and where ?

    Hi

The Miele fridge freezers are made by Liebherr so which ever one you go for it’ll be the same other than cosmetics.
