    Re: PATTERN PARTS FAILURES

    I’d been thinking of mentioning the pattern brushes (Bsh + Hpt) very cheap from one particular wholesaler but some of which go, “ping”, lose their tails and go flying across the room

    The supplier would be good to name as it allows us to avoid the same happening.

    Re: AWP510L board blown twice !!

    the engineer who fitted the baord had already traced it, it leads down to the motor howver the motor is reading all ok.
    possibly breaking down under load.
    anyone else had this problem?

    Re: Oh no! Another electronic nightmare. AEG La72630 EWM2000

    like the others:
    123= 12×1000 (10 at power to 3) Ohms = 12K
    473= 47×1000 (10 at power to 3) Ohms = 47K
    so
    330= 33×1 (10 at power to 0) Ohms = 33 Ohms

    In other words SMD resistor codes could be found:

    Mike.

    Put there any smd resistor around that value… for ex.: 22 or 47 or 56 … it does not matter because is just for current protection…

    Mike.

    Is not all the time about money… but it’s much quicker and cheaper so I don’t want to enlarge my store with all kind of unnecessary components (in my repairman live I did not changed more than three pieces of those relays but sealed type a lot)…

    I looked again and checked the configuration code for your PNC (because I didn’t saw 😳 that you wrote it…) but it is identical :mrgreen:

    Welcome Mike, :waving:
    Isn’t necessary to change all relays at all 🙂 … just the transparent one you have to remove it from PCB, open and clean his contacts with glass-paper! it is the ‘Heater Relay’ and therefore is a bit dirty :snigger: !!!

    Re: help! dealing with a possible rogue merloni engineer…

    Simple.

    The customer has stated Motor failure. Turn the appliance on and see if it works.If the machine does’nt work the customer would have been given a copy of the job sheet if this states BER then it’s BER.

    On the other hand if the machine works, then…

    Hmm

    How may YEARS does it take for samsung to realise that they need to keep the RS21 evap covers in stock.. Yet again for the past god knows how many past years they are NIL stock and none available.

    Good news i’ve still got excess of 500 in stock.It’s called forward thinking samsung..

    Assuming that it’s LAV72630 PNC:914002092_02 than config. code is: 261C169B15C1C7A4 (you can check it by putting the old board and go into service mode at configuration stage and check bit by bit…).

    In order to repair the old board you need: R54(123)=12K; R53(330)=33 Ohms; R52(473)=47K; D15= 1N4148; Q7(5Cp)=BC807/40. But also you have to remove all relays from the board and do an clean/wash with alcohol and afterwards to check tacho generator from motor for its condition…

    Common problem on the samsungs is the water valve seeping slowly and then icing up as it drips
