i spoke to a Hoover engineer here in Reading last week and he said he has never been so busy mainly due to the fact they are contracting out less work and keeping it all in house.

Re: Baumatic Cooker – Steam & Condensation Problem

Think your missing point, engineer is saying there is nothing on his van he can fit that will make a difference, he isnt responsible for design or selling the customer the appliance….whilest its not desirable to have condensation forming on the cooler oven doors it is within spec…..and totally fit for purpose…that oven was designed with a selling price in mind…cavities are far better sealed and insulated that they ever were because of energy ratings….in t end you get what you pay for!!!

    Re: Fisher & Paykel – Fault code 56 – GW611 Excellence m

    Thanks mate,

well I pulled of the rotor ferrite and low and behold there was issue #1, a nice big crack traversing from the bridged terminals to about 13mm short of the centre:

I then had the bright spark idea of doing a continuity test on the RPS itself, there was very intermittent continuity while testing all the terminals – importantly the values changed on my DMM but no buzzer and after about 1 sec the value would return to 1…

So I have the new stator now (old part# 426454 and new part #426454P) but also found that the RPS wont fit to the new stator…

Apparently Fisher and Paykel doesn’t make the original stator any more, would that be right?

we use service and stocknet a system built by Eurorealm who used to write the old washvac system, excelent sytem, i cant recomend it enough, also if you need it do do something that is not part of the standard package they can usually add it on for you.

Re: Compressor replaced but still have problems. Opinions pl

    Hi

Its possible that the engineer was’nt qualified or comfortable with working with R600a.

Changing from any electronic to standard stat in my opinion is a no no.raising the ne capillary fixing higher would make it run colder if its away from the evaperator.if he’s screwed it into the evaperator he has been lucky not to have punctured it which would make it un repairable.

    Hi

R600a compressors at the moment are cheaper than R134a compressors.

r600a is more effecient than R134a and also cleaner and less supseptible to restrictions.
