    Hello,

I’m in Australia just moved from UK and the very same thing has happened to mine. It works for about 2mins then switches off then won’t start again unless you keep the start button depressed. Any ideas would be welcome.

Re: Blomberg Freezer ? thermostat stuck

THanks to both of you for all your help.
Anyone want a freezer with stuck thermostat?!

I get the feeling that maybe I should look around for a replacement…this one is chewing all my electricity!

On a serious note though, i shall get in touch my electrician friend and ask him to take a look. After showing him all the help you have given……will keep you posted

    Hi dave

Sorry i forgot to mention that it is frost free – five drawers.
I have just removed the sticker from the bottom inside of the freezer….it says: model CUFN 200 class no 9609701b0
gross capacity 0.185..(?!) net capacity volume 1 146
    freezing capacity kg/24h 12

Hope this is of some help!!

    Re: Samsung SR-S20

    Hi Mick,
The engineer more or less confirmed what Dave and wierdjam thought, at times when the fridge is working harder , e.g. especially hot weather or a sudden full load of food, the defrost function doesn’t totally defrost but leaves a little ice behind , over a period of months this can build up and cause the problem that I’m getting. He couldn’t remove the inside rear panel of the fridge because the ice build up behind it was too great , he could peer down behind it and said it was 1 1/2″ – 2″ thick. He suggested running down the food in the fridge and turning it off for maybe 48 hrs and then trying again , if that cures it he’ll send me an invoice for his time if not he’ll come back and have another look.
I’ll let you know how I get on.

    Best,
    Ron

As i reached over an appliance I split my trousers, possibly due to weak cotton 😛 , however whilst I sat in the front room reading the paper my customer repaired my trousers on her sowing machine, fair swop, one washer for a stich in time……

    Re: Indesit WE14 – Not automatically rinsing/spinning/draini

Thanks for the speedy reply. I have done the checks as suggested by the machine’s manual, but to no avail.

The load we had on at the time of writing my original post was set to manually rinse, but as soon as it completed its final spin, it resumed the initial wash cycle and wouldn’t stop! There are definitely no ‘F’ error codes on the display, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the power cut has screwed up the machine.

I am really peeved about this. To fill you in a little more, the power cut is the latest in a long line we’ve suffered, and is actually due to a fault with the electrics in the property which the landlords/letting agency are not being very prompt to investigate. So thanks to somebody bodging the electrics here I am stuck with the choice of paying to a machine that isn’t mine, or forking out for my own one! And I thought renting would avoid headaches like this 🙁

Incidentally, I checked repairs@ and couldn’t find any Indesit specialists for my postcode area (Waterlooville, Hampshire, PO8).
