checked connections, all look ok, with no signs of burning or corrosion on contacts.
i have now emailed several places to see if i can get a replacement or repair on the module. i do not want to pay £80+ for a new one. which is taking the P***.
if i can not get one it will be a new machine. shame as the machine is only 2 years old.
we had an indesit before that lasted us about 6 years so brought another one, have an indesit dishwasher which is over 10 years old still working.

o for the days of the old manual switch, when u knew what was wrong!

Iwill try the service number that Dave gave. Who is manufacturer? The only mention on the internet that I can find is Danby Products Ltd of Ontario. But the model number of this fully integrated dishwasher does come up under brands of Whirlpool and Hygena.

I have found QER (Quality Electronic Repairs) athttp://www.qer.biz/servReps.htm who appear to offer a comprehensive service for repair or exchange of controls. But is it beyond my basic DIY skills, or unwise, to take out the component without the technical manual?

I think MFI would be better on supply than on repair of this six year old machine, but thank you for this suggestion that I will follow if I get stuck.

well the machine stopped working, then when i first looked at it it seemed ok, then it just stopped. if you reset the machine, by putting control knob to black spot. then select a program it will just sit there.
so i checked the door catch, which is ok.
i know that the water inlet valves are ok.
the pressure switch is ok.
Now sometimes it will start and wash for a short wile so iam sure that the individual parts and motor are ok.
i have had this machine with a blocked discharge pump and it all worked ok until it reached this point and then the control knob would just click round. which this machine seems to do when a fault occurs.
it will click round if you move the knob when it has started but otherwise it just sits there with the light on.
other strange behaviour has occurred such as i removed the heater wire to check it, with the heater wire removed it started to work.(for a short wile)
so i think the actual individual parts are all ok but are not being told what to do correctly.

I too have bought a house with a Diplomat ADP8224, that does not work!

I do have an owner manual, and can e-mail it to Fiona if you would like it.
It says “Alarm E2” is not used on this appliance – so not much help to you.

My panel says E3 – “The dishwasher is not able to heat the washing water correctly. To establish the cause of the fault call an After-Sales Service.”

So far someone has changed the heating element, that made no difference. Any other suggestions?

I cannot trace the manufacturer, as the manual just gives a phone number of 0345 959722, and that prefix has long since gone. Can anyone put me in touch with the manufacturer, or where to look up an approved repair firm on the Isle of Wight, please?

😀 Thanks kwatt and Dave for the reply. As ever UKWhitegoods comes up with the goods and I can eat a Sunday roast once again. The method was very much as kwatt described, but the picture in the Creda manual heled me understand how the catch operated.

I can’t beleive I stripped the whole oven down last night 😳 when the actual method took me less than a minute to get the door off!!!!!

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I don’t have the user manual so the one bit I can’t do is remove the whole door! Is this an easy process? It seems that the only way to take the whole door off is to strip all the facia and side panels away, is this correct?
I think I can handle stripping the front panel from the inner panel but getting the darn door off is proving very taxing 😳

(Alternativelt is there a website where I could download a PDF format of the user manual)
