We’re working our way back to 5 *’s. Having won the TEQ award 2 years running (in a previous life) we went & spoilt it by becoming Service Partners for a manufacturer (no prizes for guessing who!).
However to have 5*, if I remember correctly, requires you to score on customer generated replies over 88{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} customer satisfaction, based upon numerous questions asked of the customer.
When we won the TEQ award the 1st time, I think we scored 92{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} overall and the second time 94{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. Any one of you out there with 5* deserves a little respect from all of us because you have to earn it by doing the business we are all in.
Sadly my recent escapades scuppered any chance of 3 in a row. But, for certain we will be back, and not with an UZI.

There seems to be an engineer already working in the midlands so ive heard.and he does’nt seem to pleased either at the work. 😕

MFI Extracare, without looking at the appliance, can only do what we’d do and guess at the fault. Due to legislation I can’t be to precise here, but the most likely cause is that the resettable thermostat has tripped (usually a bit of cutlery across the heater and stat will do that ;)) and if you access the thermostat and press the little red button in the centre it may cure the fault.
If that doesn’t clear it my advice is to get in an engineer in all honesty and there’s a lot of the guys on here are specialist repairers for MFI/Hygena/Diplomat appliances if that helps any.

Anyone had these symptoms, first 3 lights flashing 4 th off 5th on ?
This occurs after machine appears to run thro the start up seq hear water in /out but inside of machine dry? Runs 4 about 3 mins then error light s up.

This gets better as it gets older.
I hear that the man/men at the top get the chop and all the employed engineers are being approached re franchising……….so how about all you good folks turning into reporters for UKW.
What do we need??????
We must know a hundred engineers employed by this company as friends and workmates…so lets ask them whats going on and post it up, if nothing else it will be interesting and factual. Might even do these employed engineers a favour in my opinion as the more that is in the open the less chance of anyone making a mistake.

The cost of the part would be approx £30 – £40 plus labour but it depends on the engineer ect.

In my opinion it would appear that the waste pump has failed( I myself have one of these and in the past 3 yrs i have had to replace it 3 times..not a happy chappy.)

more likely a system fault at that age Martin, the fridge cant get cold enough on the evaporator to turn off the stat so keeps on running, in turn becoming too cold. The ambient will be a problem to your new replacement cooler, this ones probs R12 which was a much better refrigerent than the modern offerings.
