KeymasterRe: Indesit WE12 F05 fault code
😆 We have an Indesit WE16 and this also halted and came up with the fault code f06. Having found this site I found the water pump and inside I found a hair clip – problem solved. On the WE16 model the water pump can be accessed by removing the panel at the bottom on the front – it just clips on. There is then aceess to the inside of the pump on the right-hand side by unscrewing a large bung.
What a great site!

KeymasterRe: Hotpoint Advertise Franchises!
good point …a local scheme in sheffield
But whom are they advertising too!
There are no engineers sat at home watching supermarketsweep….they are out working for the likes of me and a few others on this site. So where has the geek with the calculator recognised that there is a glut of mugs who’ll sign up to this and of course their all corgi trained and system experts, I wonder what the local guys(hotpoint engineers) are thinking……their long term prospects are bleak when the company who employs them undermine them in this way.
This will not work….full stop. None of my guys will apply they work for me because they DONT want the hassle of self employment ….oh and they prefer paid holidays…………
Dream on Merloni……

KeymasterRe: Whirlpool AWM029 built in washer
the timer fitted to this appliance is unreliable at best……..rapid advancing along with no spin are two favourite failures
Make sure you buy it from a supplier who will exchange a faulty unit within 12 months……..they really are that good(sad in’it)kheath

KeymasterRe: Hotpoint Advertise Franchises!
Martin…..the advert says Franchise…….
that means you lease/buy/rent the opportunity off them. They give you the work only after you buy it from them, none of us are daft enough to pay hotpoint for work …are we?
The package comes with their laptop ect, bet theres a van in there to and stock at their prices with little returns excepted.
Lets not approach them, lets instead just rubbish the idea that you can make a living at this game with a franchise and have a life!

KeymasterRe: Hotpoint Advertise Franchises!
I seem to remember this outfit recruiting at around £18000 pa a touch more for corgi………………….
Then they shed a load of staff and independents and now offer a franchise?
Where next?
Has some one at Peterborough come up with this cunning plan……. lets franchise it cause we can save more money by ridding ourselves of our call centre staff and customer care assistance ………….oh and a manager or two………..the savings are endless…..erm let me think on it ….i’ll get back to you

KeymasterRe: Hotpoint Advertise Franchises!
Hello MR Merloni,
I’m an experienced engineer, I already run a company with three engineers ( who happen to fall into your criteria) and wonder why you are trying to entice them away instead of approaching us to work for you.
This type of loose advertising without explaining the pros and cons of franchising is not helpful and can inadvertantly put perfectly good firms under staffing pressure.
There are only so many engineers out there and what you need to do is work with us …the independents…not try to entice our staff away. You wont get my staff applying, they dont need training to work on your product range, its not technically challenging is it? They are already multiskilled in many manufacturers appliances and enjoy a working enviroment you can not copy………..we are a family and you arn’tSo I dont think you will have too many responses to this add, those that are good enough won’t want the pay cut ………

KeymasterRe: Whirlpool AWM8163
hi,
lower board is £111.00 inc vat but to get the correct board you will need the 12nc number which will begin with 85 and consist of 12 digits.
plus a door seal I guess @ £46.22……….crazy prices but thats whirlpool for you.these are of course retail inc vat……..but you’ve still got a hell of a job convincing the customer that its a viable repair in todays throwaway world.

KeymasterRe: old belling door hinges
hi,
just a thought you should check the door frame.
It has a slot which is shaped to allow a roller(part of the hinge ) to follow. If the slot wears the door will not “snap shut” and I think the door frame is obsolete.

KeymasterRe: New Bosch WFL 1660 with poor spin performance.
Just an update in my Bosch saga….
They have agreed to swap the 1660 for a new model not yet released, a 2400….. It spins to 1200 rpm. No one has seen one yet so I don’t know wether it is a hotted up 1660 or like the more upmarket 2460.
They all have the same mechanicals and motors.
This is the cheapest way out of the problem, I enquired about an AEG W1250 but that has jumped in price from $1400 to $1900…..no thanks!
I’ll post a report after the new machine arrives next week.🙄 …..I think I’m happy with the outcome.
regards…..Valvo

KeymasterRe: Servis Tumble Dryer
Its interesting that the CAP in the photo is the plastic type……..hope you replaced it with a metal clad type which is much more suited to the warm enviroment of the inside of a tumble dryer and performs better under heavy usage.
