Check the filter for blockages, apart from that you will more than likely need an enginner to check the relevent components for you.

Hope that helps a bit anyway

    Dave.

Is that the water inlet filter or the internal debris filters, is there anything else I can look at / check before calling out an engineer (the machine is out and part in bits anyway)

Re: Blomberg 1515 AAA Motor Brushes

    Thanks Dave

I Have done a bit of ringing round locally (Sheffield) and have not actually found anyone that stock them, but a few said if I brought the complete brush in they may be able to fit some new carbons to the original housing,so I will try that approach on Wednsday and if that fails I will take you up on your kind offer.

    Regards richard.

    Re: Hotpoint Advertise Franchises!

The rumour mill always works best when a story is live….so here goes,

This work has been touted around at least 1 service provider and the price advised not acceptable. So here are franchises being offered to obviously save on cost………but those savings are to be applied to the engineers who are at the sharp end of the trade and deserve to earn a crust.

The recent job losses from this company totalled nearly 400 who either went self employed or out of the industry all together, and many of them were corgi registered. So this must be aimed at trying to attract those same people back to the employer who made them redundant by using the franchise route. A franchise package really has to be structured well and perhaps some of you out there with experience of the last Merloni tie up might like to comment, its my understanding that there are still a couple of franchisees on the mastercare work and they seem happy enough.

So hotpoint have excess work but as usual with manufacturer service don’t want to pay the going rate to allow the independents to flourish, in my opinion. Shame really as we all need solid work and we are in the right place with the skill sets too!

Re: Blomberg 1515 AAA Motor Brushes

    Thanks for the reply…

I will have to dig them out of the machine again,as I managed to get the motor running again by pulling the brushes out a tad,and cleaning the commutator up,but it is only a shot term fix until Wed when I am off,so when I get them out I will take a photo and post it…

Thanks again for your prompt reply.

P.S you mention Brandt,is this a pseudonym for Blomberg?

Sorry to drag this post out…

But is Bosch a good make to go for then ( in terms of lasting longer than a few years )?

    Re: Ariston Margherita 2000 ( AWD 10 UK ) Problem – please h

    Thanks for all your help…

I think the solution here will be to bin it and buy a new one. Its only 18 months old and has already required a new motor.

My confidence in this model is pretty low and since it only cost £300 new I’m not sure its worth investing more money in.

Got the feeling that repairing it would only place it under additional stress and cause it to go wrong 😉

Yep but L.G. was informed of the extention lead that was running right across in front of the bath and sink 🙄 the song Were having chicken tonight comes to mind.To which I refused to carry out any repair to it.and then got told off for not repairing it. 😈
