If you have a ball or block of ice forming then it’ll be an insulation failure around the evaporator suction line. Most engineers would right off the appliance due to time and mess it can make. But it can be cut out and redone.
But if you have a large area of thick snow forming all over and the doors are sealing correctly then it’s likely that the evaporator has come away from the liner which is then BER

Depends on what a viable repair cost is classed at with a high cost premium product that really is a better quality than the new range.
New compressors fitted from about £180 upwards dependent on size.
What size ff is it ?

Pretty much all my staff have now got LG machines usually a 8kg 1200rpm,which is our best selling LG, and they are all happy, however I have the 11kg and its rubbish, unless the load is perfect it just wont spin,

Then check the connection behind the vent at the bottom of your appliance.
water into valve,valve through water tank,water tank though to bottom of the freezer door,freezer door to dispenser.Only one electrical component..water valve.
Disconnect and then try to dispense water.If it comes rushing out then the problem in between there and the dispenser but everything there is `non replaceable other than a new door.

Just replace the Askol pump..bog standard one.. If you want a complete tank,bearing ect unit for it Im sure theres on on the top shelving still in its box 🙂 .
Put your misses in her place..then dive for cover.
Avoid anything bigger and faster..they wear out faster and break down
