Have you got the service number and serial number ? also the flashes or beep’s will be in a sequence beep..beep..beep pause beep.beep.beep pause ect. can you see or hear a sequence ?

You should leave a chest freezer running for 24hrs before putting anything in it..Also as I have said your trying to freeze AIR. pack it with boxes with crumpled paper in it and leave it shut. then start to fill the base with containers of water. this will be the most efficient way to run your freezer.

The liebherr Is a far better unit but the fault that you seem to think your AEG has does mean its actually faulty.
How full was your chest freezer ? Ice well snow WILL form at the easiest exit point from the cavity as cold will cause a vacuum on the lid and the air will escape at the point it has less resistance.
If it wasn’t full then its freezing AIR which is approx 70{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} water. (and no I don’t want to get into a debate with percentages) this will go to the coldest points which are the walls of the internal chest freezer and will cause thin ice droplets and a skim of frosting.
If you intend to run 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} full the fill the bottom half of the freezer with 3/4 full bottles of water and put a sheet of stiff cardboard or ply on top of them thus reducing the air capacity thus reducing the amount of frost.

Russian Roulette with his family’s life so be it on his doing 😯replaced carbons .left working again and Earth tested safe in kitchen, so will keep my eye on the local rag to see what happens next?
