    Mick,

    fitted two just last week, tip machine on it’s back remove clips from each side of heater.I replaced the clips that came off, with whirlpool jubilee clips, much easier.

    check pump and wiring to pump, also motor brushes/wiring as no motor no fill.

    More likely to be a faulty stat, sensing heat and bringing on cooling fan.

    Thanks for the swift reply guys, but does that dashboard C00086637 include the electronics there’s a big difference between £49 + vat and £11.56 +vat for C00086490.

    Hi Guys,

    machine is only 18 months old. I don’t know who she spoke to but that is what she was told. I told her to try again, because I read another Hotpoint w/m manual for a machine almost 5 years old, today which does say in writing that there is an extra 5 year parts guarantee when fitted by Hotpoint engineers.
