ParticipantRe: WK61420GB/13 motor brushes?
If your going to solder the brush tails into the housing be sure that none of the tail touches the outer case. A customer of mine did this and blew the module 😯

ParticipantRe: work dead
I would have thought it made more sense to have stuff repaired when money is tight and replace when things pick up.
That said, the last few weeks repairs have dropped off and i’ve sold quite a few Amica’s and Beko’s. I’d sooner do repairs more satisfaction and better margins 😉allan73
ParticipantRe: Late zanussi washer with sealed drum
The drill bit was firmly lodged at the front between the drums, i had the heater out and could just see the tip. As you say though the drum could well be shot :rolls:

ParticipantRe: H/Point WF840 – F03 NTC or Module?
To be honest Mick not really had many problems with the NTC on those, i just find it easy to plug one in off a scrap m/c for peace of mind before ordering the pcb 8) . I tried a NTC off an old WMA on an indesit last week and it reset the fault code nicely but that was one off the separate sensor one’s (had a few of them go down).

ParticipantRe: Hoover washer /dryer
Beko spares are not badly priced but whirlpool are silly money and indesit company are getting pretty stupid ❗

ParticipantRe: H/Point WF840 – F03 NTC or Module?
I always have a spare NTC for these in my toolbox, easy to just plug in and see if it resets the fault code 😉

ParticipantRe: Zanussi ZWD 12270S
That did cross my mind Mike but i wasn’t 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure it would work and the lady who informed me she works in the courts, and mentioned the abundence of health & safety cases they see these days didn’t seem to keen on the idea ! 😯

ParticipantRe: Zanussi ZWD 12270S
Once again thanks Martin ! Unfortunately customer is adament she wants a new washer, she seems to resent having the dryer fixed as she never uses that part. It’s a shame because it’s a tidy m/c. :rolls:

ParticipantRe: Zanussi ZWD 12270S
been to this beast and entered into diognostics which threw up E72 code for dryer NTC however dryer element very low insulation (less than 2 megg). Ive read on the forums that these are a problem on these wd’s.
Customer fell out with m/c she gained it when she moved into the new build and never uses the dryer, wants a bosh washer only. I was wondering how to access the element though looks like a pig to change ? 😡allan73
