Have you got a Diamond H equivalent? I’ve got a load of old Tricity thermostats, but no TA508.

Sounds like you’ve got an inadvertently activated demo mode – possibly! It is selected by holding the PREWASH and SOAK buttons at the same time while switching the machine on at the rotary dial and moving it to DELICATE SPIN. Buttons need to be held for more than 4 seconds. It is deactivated by doing the same procedure again. It happened to me once, and was pulling my hair out until I discovered this gem. Hope this helps.

This sounds like a low water level problem to me. I’ve got a brand new pcb by the way, part no 481221838174 which I fitted to a machine, but it did not fix the the snag, so I removed it and there it has sat on my shelf for the past 2 years. When I put that part no into connections, it comes back with 481221838381, so it should be the right one. Going cheap. 😀 PM me if interested.

Check the main pcb behind the machine front for dry joints.

If this is a Whirlpool machine, then the part no is 481236158434 and is available from Connect at £59.85 trade +vat.
