    Hi Dave,
I just mean getting access to the base to get to the belts and clutch. I’ve taken all the obvious screws out of the baseplate and the cover is now looser but is very reluctant to come off altogether.

Thanks for the reply Baron. EMW who are the pcb repair experts here in the UK, said that the original board has the classic signs of interlock failure. However, with the new(reconditioned) pcb fitted, the lid interlock locks and indicates locked and the machine works as normal, except that the drum pulley lock does not disengage to allow motor action.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram or technical information on this model? I’m particularly thinking of Jim(Iadom) 🙂

If you’re getting through alot of these motors Chris, then you must be one hell of a salesman! No great problems from me with these motors. A brush change invariably does the job, whether pattern or genuine.

    Phidom,
why don’t you ask to be put on UPS deliveries? I’m based in East Scotland (Fife) and the DHL service was terrible like yours. After much complaining to Connect, they offered to put me on UPS deliveries and it has been much better. Only thing I have to watch out for is that if I order after 1430, then it reverts to DHL.

This is usually a blown joint on the board. A dab of solder usually does the trick.
