Thanks for that Colin. I did disconnect the tube to the pressure switch and blow down it.All seemed clear. Gently blew into switch as well and got an audible click.

I found that one out too when the element came on as soon as I put the wall switch on, without setting the clock or selecting anything. Baffled me for a while I can tell you!

I think they use a start relay rather than a capacitor

Re: electrolux EOC68000 fa element on all the time?

Have you just replaced the fan element? The reason I ask is that I had a strange one like this once on an AEG (Electrolux) oven. I had changed the blown fan element (3117704001)and on switching on, it stayed on all the time irrespective of selection. It turned out that one of the element terminals was touching the mains terminal block on the back panel of the oven.

Thanks for all the replies guys & gal.
Johnny, I’m surprised you think vodaphone is poor round these parts – I thought they had the best available coverage?
My mobile is on 3, and I have nothing once I get south of St Andrews and in the East Neuk.
Stratfordgirl, good idea with the roaming sim, I’ll ask if they can do that

This is happening more and more. They are community defibrillators and there are plans to install them in every community, usually near the post office/ village shop etc. Might just save your life one day, if the local hooligans have not got to them first! By their very nature, they need to be accessible and not locked up.

    I’d say that’s a mid 90’s machine.

Thanks for that George. Just phoned Hoover and they that that “people shouldn’t be selling unprogrammed boards”. Hoover have programmed ones but under a different part number. They have stock, not allowed to give me the part number, are are more expensive than than the unprogrammed ones (of course). Time to speak to the customer….

    Re: Hoover HNF7148 Blown Board?

I went to one of these with no pump action too. Also, no water intake. Pump itself checks out, and wiring to it. Valve solenoids good too. The obvious thing to go for is the module(41021514). Not too expensive, but Connect and Masterpart show it as unprogrammed. What is involved in programming it?
