Check the breather hose at the top of the tub, it could be blocked up with gunge.

Thanks Johnny. I know they’re both out of stock, but have you seen the price difference between Connect and Masterpart? Connect nearly 3 times the price!

Yes, had this myself a few years ago. Changed the big expensive module on the base. Probably pump triac shorted.

I have regularly found problems with these energy regulators failing in the way that you describe. Admittedly, all 4 failing at once does sound unusual. However, went to a New World cooker yesterday with these fitted and found 3 of them need replacement. Two for failing to cut-out and one for failing to cut-in until very near the top of the range. Also, I’ve found they seem to work ok until they warm up, then start playing up.

That’s how I would do it Jim. Lay the machine on it’s left hand side. You can give yourself more room by undoing the 4 screws that hold the tub to the base, release the door hinge ropes and prise the tub/base apart a little.

    Re: Smeg FME20EX

Right then, so I’ve got the terminal block from AWS. So far so good. However, it would appear that I also need item 47218 as on the attached pdf in the original post. This was the bit that had broken off the terminal block. I did have it in my hand but I’ve gone and lost it!
    😳

Can anybody provide a part number?

    Thanks

The Servevast website doesn’t recognise that part no. Better give them a call in the morning. Thanks again.

A cabinet fee is where you agree a fixed rate and you cover the cost of any parts, Charge for labour only.
Its possibly ok for a manufacturer if your paying factory costs on spares. But cant see any advantage unless the fee was something stupidly high and I doubt that.

Thanks for that, you live and learn. Sounds like a good deal! :rolls:
