If you’re convinced the board has blown you could try Emw electronics that may be able to repair it for you, but as said these are poor quality machines. I seem to condemn an awful lot

Certainly no offence intended but I’m sure you will understand that some may try to use these sites not for what they where intended. You sound like a genuine nice chap so good luck and get some insurance, friends can easily turn to enemies if you flood them out

Afraid I have to agree with jim
How do you know you are leaving appliances in a safe state ie are you earth and insulation testing them after a repair, a lot of people like to do the simple repairs like brushes, blockages etc but it sounds like you may be running a little business doing it. Believe me when I’ve seen appliances that have been looked at by a so called friend that have been left in a very dangerous conditionRe: Old people friendly washing machine
I spent the best part of 2 hrs yesterday chasing phantom faults, this old lady has had hotpoint out about 4 times for ripping clothes. She’s refusing to swap programmes for delicates and is always mixing up washes. She wants me to put in a report condemning machine which I ain’t gonna do
