There not interchangeable mate. No special tool and they are a bit of a pig to fit. Just put clamp around seal link together and then lever over the seal.

Also why aren’t the detergent suppliers giving better advise to customers about correct dosage. I find that even with heavily soiled clothing a 1/4 of a cap of liquid is perfect to clean them. I then go to a retired couple complaining of smelly washing machines that are using 4 times the amount I use and their clothes aren’t dirty. Just a matter of freshening up. Then they have to do numerous amounts of service washes to try to clean their machines

If you manually drain water out. Take out filter you should see a cover that conceals the pump impeller. Take this cover off (torx screw). You will probably find something jamming the impeller. Glass is quite common

You can buy commutator sticks but would have to remove motor to do it properly

Not bad machines. Check the bearings before you get it. They can be replaced but it is quite a big job. Main problems are the normal brushes, door seal , pump etc

In my opinion the biggest cause of damage to clothing is customer misuse
Make sure you are selecting the correct cycle for the type of fabric you are washing
Most common comment I get is ” we only use 1 cycle”. Therein lies the problem

ParticipantRe: Zanussi 1265 washer dryer leak
Another good tip is to get a length of small hose ( pressure switch size ) and put over each of the holes and blow through them

Make sure the jets above the dispenser are clean. A toothbrush is a good way to clean them. I would also peel the door seal back and check for sure that there are no splits in it

ParticipantRe: A few washer/drier options
If you go for Bosch make sure it’s the excell or logix range. The classix range is of a lower quality

What is more concerning is on test mode, as the machine spools up to 1600rpm, at about 1000-1200rpm the machine makes a little juddering noise. I then noticed that the machine was letting water in. After questioning the engineer, I was told that it’s leakage from the sparking of the motor triggering the machine’s solenoids. As per their advice, I am running a full wash to help bed the brushes in and the problem should be gone.
I need opinions here, I am worried to death that the installation of these brushes have buggered up my machine. 🙁
It the commutator is thoroughly cleaned you shouldn’t have any problems. I never fit them without

If the commutator is thoroughly cleaned prior to replacing the brushes then you shouldn’t get any problems
