Agree with seamy. Had one with an earth fault that caused the same problem

ParticipantRe: Creda Cordialle oven door seal problem
They normally clip in so it would probably need a new seal. A full model no would be needed though

ParticipantRe: SMEG WDI12C door seal rubbing?
I would guess at a crack in the spider. Had same fault last year

Hi John
On average I tend to do 8-10 a day. Obviously there are quieter times during the summer months but then I do all the student pat testing. Have you tried dropping you’re details into local letting agents etc. £49.50 sounds very competitive tbf. I’m lucky enough that I do very little advertising anymore apart from a small add in yellow pagesAndy jones

Didn’t fill me with confidence when the landlord said they’d get their handyman to sort it. Oh well will see when I go back to try and repair washing machine

ParticipantRe: Dangerous
Correct. Also meter is key locked so can’t gain access to it, and to be honest it’s a job for an electrician to sort

ParticipantRe: Dangerous
It must have Martin. Like I said the ones I’ve seen before are directly wired to a socket

ParticipantRe: Dangerous
I’ve seen quite a few of them in bedsits where there’s a laundry room. Tenant then pay for what they use. This one just had me scratching my head tbh

ParticipantRe: Dangerous
I’m assuming the whole cable should go through 1 of the holes and is secured.

No 7. Can you tell the time and will you be there the time you said

ParticipantRe: Dangerous
Some tight landlord put coin meters in so the tenants pay every time they use appliances. These are normally connected to the socket and the appliance would plug in that. This one has the dryer hard wired straight into the meter but the earth was left disconnected.

No 5. Do you know how to switch a plug on
Nice one Andy. 😉Sure every one could add one on and we may get the top 10 questions out of it. 😆
I think we could get to 100

ParticipantRe: Dangerous
That is the dryer cable going into a coin meter with the earth cut off
Needless to say quick call to the landlord refusing to work on it until it’s done properly -
