Lol I would say that dislodged limescale is a probable cause for the not cleaning problem. As for the water fill level it should come just up to the rubber door seal at the front of the m/c. A good trick to see if the spray arms are working is to tie a rubber band/ string to the one side of the arm and see if it has moved when you open the door

How much water comes into the base? And are you sure the spray arms are turning properly?

Try cutting off the old connector and crimp on a new one,if it still doesn’t work put on a new thermostat. That should solve it . Hth DJ

Yes that is perfectly possible, does the impellor of the motor turn ok or does it feel a little stiff? There is not much power in these motors and they jam easily.hth DJ

I know I’m probably teaching my grandaddy how to suck eggs but you mentioned on one on your earlier posts that you had trouble with the “o” rings not sealing. A good trick I use is put vaseline round them before I put it back (the same when changing heater boxes) it works s treat! Also what do you mean heat exchange?… the heater?

Ok so first of all you need to get at the heater which I believe is at the print on these. You can either tip the machine on its back or take the front off its up to you. Then you need a multimeter to check if you have continuity through the heater or weather it us open circuit. But to be honest if the machine is completely dead I would be trying to find out the cause of this first of all 😉 check the PCB isn’t blown or damaged in any way. Hth DJ

Hummm sounds like either a PCB fault or pressure switch,if I was a betting man I would say PCB but pressure switch is the cheapest option to try first even though it is very rare that modern ones fail hth DJ

Can you take the motor off and take a few pix? Could be the same or similar to something else.

It’s only a theory but defo. Worth checking the element. The “click” could of come from any thing really ,motor relay ,door switch but from what you have described it doesn’t sound good 😕

Unfortunately Martin is contractualy not allowed to share any more info. with us .So i assume he would prefer a little humor before he starts his red tape filled next job . We have all been there, called out to someone elses mess and in my experience you either laugh about it or cry….is rather laugh 😉

Do you still have the original pump housing? The new pump should fit on it 😐
