ParticipantRe: CDA oven fan motor.
Ordered the fan motor 5031685210809; it is completely different to the original. This new fan is the same as the Smeg ELE4208 give or take a mm. It will not fit as the mounting plate won’t sit flush against the support (lugs sticking up); there are no screw holes and the shaft is way too short even if you flattened the lugs.
The original is a three legged unit that is held in place by twist fit lugs pressed into the central steel support across the middle of the back of the oven cavity and secured by 3 threaded screws. I cannot find a single picture of the three legged fan motor on the net or anything useful about this model (apart from sales bumpf.)Any help please or is it a case of ringing CDA direct?
Thanks!!
Steve.

Thanks for the reply, Dave.
Still puzzled on this – don’t generally get involved repairing modules these days TBH. The transformer is on the power board (656768) and seeing the machine is completely dead this board was the prime suspect in my initial assessment. But there is also power to the control PCB hence the confusion.
Any further ideas appreciated!Steve.

and if of course the oldies put in one sweater to wash and it struggles to balance on spin….. :rolls:

Blocked filter or sump hose, blocked or jamming pump (obstruction) or outlet spigot on the sink trap. Sounds like it is timing out on drain and recalculating. Pumps are not the best on these Beko clones but they usually go noisy before failing IME.
Hope that helps!!

The airbreak units in these often scale up internally causing the PCB to time out on fill. You can tell by taking off the left side panel and look at the airbreak during filling. The blockage will be at the red semi circular jet. You can also feel the pressure build up in the valve to airbreak hose as you switch on. Remove the airbreak and shake out excess water. Turn the unit so the pipes are uppermost. Fill the inlet side with Kilrock kettle descaler liquid and wait until it clears the jet of scale; usually 5 – 10 minutes then flush out and refit.
New airbreak is available from Connect – about £20 + vat trade.Hope that helps!!

Check the clock is set to manual, if OK, loop out the clock relay. If not then selector switch has a blown switch terminal.

ParticipantRe: Stoves oven door hinge removal.
Thanks Dave; never had to do one of these types of hinge before and as the whole door is dependent on a pair of channels glued to the glass panel, asking was cheaper than breakage!
Cheers for that!

ParticipantRe: Siemens SN66T095GB/86 E10 error please help.
Thanks Leigh – it’s posts like these that are so useful to extend everyones knowledge base. I haven’t come across a drying heater in a dishwasher for several years, so it’s good to know they are still using them and the associated pitfalls.
Cheers,
Steve.
