    Yes and no.

Yeah I suppose that would do it, but my silver soldering days are long gone. (Russell Hobbs SS spouts anyone?).

I was hoping for something much easier 😛

Police force, Fire department, Hospitals, Air ambulance, Schools ‘just say no’ mags. God I think I’ve had them all. They’re all cons. If I’m not busy I have a bit of fun when they call and string them along for ages, get right to the point of offering my CC number and then ‘disconnect’ halfway through giving them a false number.
When they ring back I just hang up.
    😈

But as for the ‘testing’ calls, I’ve had quite a few over the years, and they’re very obvious. I doubt that they catch any bad traders really, except the very stupid ones.

I have it on my Blackberry and it was a lifesaver one day last week when I left my sat nav at home.

Last time I said that (working for Merloni many moons ago) the customer complained about it, said she felt pressured to make me a drink when she really didn’t want to.

Indesit being the fantastic and intelligent people they are gave me a bollocking 🙁

I think you’ll find that Adam is what is known as a ‘troll’. Just posting inane comments in order to goad a response and get a thrill from it.

Great fun thread though, and we now find that not only is Adam clueless about washing machines but that he’s also brain dead with regards to his chosen area of expertise. (Kitchen Design).

I love it when an idiot and his keyboard show up on the internet. 🙂

The temptation is to say ‘stuff him’ and not bother with the call.

But you’re a professional tradesman, so be professional and do the job to the best of your ability and take his money.

I find taking rude peoples money of them one of the most satisfying things in life.

If you’re on about the f/Fzr on the front page I’d say Phillips due to the old style ‘silver’ lining.

Actually it’s been well over a year since I last did an AEG CD belt. So I’m going to have to ‘learn’ how to do it again.

Anyone know off the top of thier heads?

I’m going to get a job at Comet, just so I can join the love in! 🙂

Have known a couple of Comet engineers, they’ve moved on now and knew what they were doing. MFI Engineers though…that’s a different story! 😉
