    Re: Immovable Bosch/Neff dishwashers

Went to a DW a month or so ago. Both the inlet and the outlet hose had been fitted and then tiled over behind a wall.
Really struggled to get it across to the customer that it wasn’t going to come out without ripping the wall and tiles apart. Thing is, he said his best mate did the kitchen for him, I’d have loved to have been a fly on the wall for that conversation.
Still waiting for the return call…

Re: Does anyone use Paym to receive payments

    I use Paypal Here system.
It’s a one off payment for the card machine of about £60, then charges of 2.5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of each transaction (which is passed on to the customer).

Couldn’t be simpler, anyone with an existing paypal account can just send the payment to your email address if you want to do it that way. It’s pretty instant and you get notifications of who has paid what.
If you use the card machine, it connects to your phone and then works like any other machine. Pretty painless once set up. Money goes through the same way.

For someone like me who only occasionally takes cards then it’s perfect.
I used to have a Worldpay terminal and all the associated charges and hassle that went with it..all gone thank God!

    Re: ISE 1607W Bearings availability?

Thanks Bryan, the door issue is that it pops open during the spin, not at the end.
I can’t get it to replicate, but hey ho, I’ll quote them happy on the bearings.

    Thanks again,

Re: Siemens F/Fzr obsolete after 5 years?

Thanks (again) Martin, and the rest of those that helped.
I’ll contact my supplier tomorrow and see what the hell is going on. I’ve never had this before, they’re normally very good, but they insisted that it was not available at all.
Probably cost me a job, not happy 🙁

I don’t know what to think now.
Wonder if that’s old stock, or when you actually order it the basket shows up as not available (Like it does on BSH)?

I’m waiting on the customer to get back to me after he’s contacted Siemens. See what they say.

Still obsolete when we try to order new part no.
Customer referred to Siemens, he’s going to let me know what happens.

Re: Siemens F/Fzr obsolete after 5 years?

Thanks Martin, I was given the part no. 705702. Does that correspond with your info, and is the price still the same?

I’ll ring the customer up and give him the good news.

    Thanks again.

Re: Levelling …how far do you go

I get it stable and solid. If the floor is that far out that it’s not level with the work surface I tell them to get the floor sorted and I’ll come back and redo it free of charge.

    As for the cleaning bit…:(
I once had a snooty customer pass me a brush and dustpan without even speaking to me. I told her I wasn’t qualified to use that equipment, she just laughed.
She’s still a good customer though to be fair.

    Re: Card Reader

I have the paypal reader, very easy to set up and use with your phone.
After the initial cost of the reader the only thing you pay is 3{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of each transaction, which I add to the bill.
It’s pretty quick as well, you get immediate notification of the money going to your account etc.
All in all it’s perfect for me as I only get asked to take a card about a dozen or so times a year.
Just remember to keep the reader charged at all times, I just plug mine into a spare USB in the van and chuck it in the glove box.

    Re: Bizzby.com

Just had one, would I please go and repair a built in dishwasher 30 miles away from me for a fixed price of £65 (not inc parts). Absolute bargain!
Except they’ve gone and specified a specific date and time (30th June at 2pm), which just happens to coincide with when I’m getting my nails done.

    Anybody fancy the job?
