Sad but true, I’ve seen at least two of the scenario’s he describes happen.

Thanks, I have tested with load and the airflow is clear, so I’ll go for the ntc then.

    Cheers guys 🙂

Most likely is that it’s a thermostat fault, but that would be unusual at only 12months old. (But not impossible).

Check that the stat probe, the end of the capillary is securely connected to the evap plate. If this is loose or not affixed correctly then it would give you the symptoms that you describe.

I really wouldn’t worry about it. XP Keys are used multiple times by hundreds and thousands of people. There are millions of the damn things floating around on the net, plus there are a number of key generators that will make a legitimate one up on the spot.
I’m not advocating that you do anything illegal, all I’m saying is that nothing is likely to happen if you do use the same key twice accidentally.

Microsoft could possibly de-activate your PC for using an existing key, but in reality the chances are pretty close to zero.

The weird thing is, when I’ve refused to enter a house where minors have been left, when I go back on another day the parents always understand and are very sympathetic with me for not entering the house.

Why leave the kids there in the first place then????

And can anybody tell me iv been sat looking at a windows xp installation disc from my last pc, will it work on this one, i mean can i overwrite vista and go back to xp?

    simonb

Yes you can, Just insert the disk and one of the options it will eventually give you is to format the HD. Do that and it will wipe everything clean and then install XP for you.

on the other hand you can always dual boot XP and Vista. (I do on this PC). This will give you 30 seconds when you switch on the PC to choose which operating system you want to use, after 30 secs it will choose the default system and boot that.

No, there is no specific law pertaining to age. The law states that the person must be responsible and able to look after themselves basically. (Anyone remember the kaffuffle about the age of babysitters a few years back?)

And no, If there’s no adult there then I don’t go in. It’s just not worth the potential hassle.

Best to remove the Google hotbars anyway, nothing more than spyware tbh.

Remove via control panel/add remove items.

Re: They started taking it apart

I think the worst one I’ve had was a Bosch Slimline DW, that looked as if the guy had literally taken apart everything thing he could. There was just a big pile of components in the middle of the floor.

He was amazed when I ‘thanks, but no thanks’ He really thought he’d done me a massive favour 😯

Worst of all was it wasn’t even his machine, it was his neighbours…

Like Chris says, it boils down to making money on ‘proper’ repairs than wasting time on a probable wild goose chase. but if work was really slack and you have the time then it’s different again.

I think you’ll need the COD number as well as the MX to get the correct ones.

Some of these had a small PCB on the top of the oven that controlled the fans if I recall. (It’s been a while). If the original element had shorted, it may have taken this out.
