Oh I wish it was that simple? .

It is that simple Ted. If you are not making money on a contract then the only thing you are running with is losing money for the sake of a bit of cashflow help. If this is the case then you are better to stop now than when you end up 12 months down the line with huge debts.
I understand that making employees redundant is a horrible job but if you are losing money then it will happen….be it now or 12 months later. The only difference being that 12 months later it may be the entire business.

Yeah, I didn’t get that either. Does he mean that if you change your company name, or become limited that Connect will deduct you £100?? :con:

How can a man write so much and yet say nothing?

Probably the motor start capacitor needs replacing. Power off if going in…and it’s not advisable to have power on with panels removed :zap:

Error H43 is the flood switch in the baseplate has activated. You probably have a leak somewhere

The noise you are hearing could just be the clock motor.

Yeah, we must ensure this doesn’t degenerate into a slanging match. We have to give the impression of being proffessional and treating everyone the same. Remeber whatever impression RC go away with the same impression is being given to all other attendees. How do we get this across to the hoards of people who are coming?

I take it RC aren’t wanting to do any sort of presentation, or are they?

Everything you are saying points towards an element failure. Do you still have the old? and is there any breaks, or distortions of it?

If there is a thermal cut out then this could have been blown when the element went although unlikely if you have circuit breakers in the house…but possible.

You could get a meter for about a fiver.

Possibly if the thermostat phial is broken/kinked then it isnt working causing the oven to overheat and then the thermal cut out would blow.

    All these are possibles.

    Re: Thermostat or Fan element?

It could be the thermostat as washdoctor says but if the temp light is coming on then it is unlikely. The thermostat is easily checked with a multimeter if you are capable of this.

Check for a thermal cutout in the element wiring. It will be round, about the size of a 5pence and have 2 wires going to it. You should get a short cct on a meter across it.

    Power off first though.

You will be following me soon. 😀

Without any discussion from Repaircare I was punted off their forum for refusing the new rates. Then they had the cheek to say I resigned. They didn’t even have the decency to tell me. What sort of company trades like that?

Sounds like a company digging a big hole for themselves.
