ParticipantRe: LG condensor dryer TD-C70045E clean filter light
Have you checked if there is any build up of lint around thermistor.access to this filter is from door(remove micromesh filter in the door opening and thermistor is on r/h/side)
Also check to see if drum can be stopped by applying hand pressure when starting up.The capacitors fail on these quite a lot.
Other than that you are probably looking at a new control board.blackandwhites

Check the condenser mesh from left to right.Hold it up to the light it is probably blocked.

ParticipantRe: LG W/M stops at 17 minutes
I have had this a few times. It happens when the load is somewhere between an out of balanced load(UE)and a good load. The machine will just keep trying to ramp up to it’s distribution speed, but can never quite get there,so then it goes back to agitating from side to side, and so on.
Some times it may get stuck all the way down to 9 minutes and do the same.
Hope this helps.blackandwhites

Check for low insulation on drier element.I also had a similar strange fault on one of these where the circulating pump was open circuit(wire snapped on tag)

Not sure if its the same as the ones I’ve worked on,but try selecting “90degrees” wash then hold start prog button, while switching on.
Good luck.blackandwhites

Has anyone noticed that all of a sudden there seems to be a dramatic downturn in contract work coming in,or is it just me?
As most of the work I am talking about is either warranty or insurance work,I dont understand why this is happening. The state of the economy should not have that much of an impact on this type of work as most of this work, would be carried out at no extra expense to the customers in question.
I would be interested to hear of any comments anybody may have.blackandwhites

ParticipantRe: Just for the record..ouch!!!
I used to work as an electrician. One day, one of the other electricians was sent out to an old Ladies house to repair a socket that wasnt working.
He asked her what the problem was and she said that she had bought the socket and installed it herself.but it wouldnt work.On removing the face of the socket he noticed that there was no wires connected to it.
Pooor soul, had just screwed it to the wall and expected it to work.blackandwhites

ParticipantRe: Zanussi WDJ1294 Dryer Fault
I think it could be a duff solenoid, blocked condenser or the thermistor in the lower condenser hose.
However I do seem to remember a while ago I had a dryer cutting out,and I tried everything and was about to give up,when I went through the diagnostic test and noticed there was no circulating pump action.
I dont know how this could be possible, but I found the circulating pump(not the drain pump) was open circuit.Replacing the pump rectified the fault.
