page 29 off the service manual gives you simple resistance checks to preform, but please do check for a bearing seal leak onto the direct drive motor connection as i have had that one quite a few times, new bearing and seal assebley and a good clean up of the offending connections usually sorts it.

the part number for the main pcb given by M/Man is correct, however i have not come across this capacitor problem before, the only large capacitor on the main pcb is for smoothing purposes and watch out it holds a big charge if you connect yourself to the wrong terminals on the pcb, the only time i have have vibration on an LG motor it was the motor its self, look for corosion on the motor connecter caused by leaking drum bearing seal, or simply a loose motor mounting bolt.M/Man how many pcbs have you come across with this fault and is it the large smoothing capacitor you are talking about.

i dont reconise that model number but if you turn off the fridge freezer by its temprature control does the compressor still continue to work or does the appliance go quiet.

this is a supply fault most likely on the mains connection box, the nuetral wire or link in the box has melted.
