since you have allready stripped out the fascia it wont be to difficult to do it again, this time have a look around the soap draw end to see if there is any water/conditioner damage, try drying it with a hair dryer before reassembly.

please disconnect the appliance by pulling the mains supply plug before working on it.

strip the door trim off and you will find one end of the door handle/catch hinge pin has come out of its locating hole, failing that its the door interlock thats faulty.

the clock volume can be adjusted on some of the models, set the minute minder for 1 min, let it sound, while its sounding use the up/down set time arrows to adjust the volume, it normaly has 3 settings.

Hi itsmeuk,

when you say it cuts out do you hear a click from the rear bottom of the fridge freezer, if so its the compresser that had failed, considering its age and condition it may be worth repairing.

its not going to be cheap but see if there is a local repairer on the site to give further help, or pop up your post code and somone will pick it up.

hi alanj,

the fridge temprature is regulated by a simple damper assembly on this model, it is located in the fridge on the backwall, they go out of calabration or i have had one that had iced up.
