ParticipantRe: Beko WMA 520W
Fairly certain there is a child lock on this machine. It locks the program so it can’t be changed until the child lock is turned off.
Download the user manual from the beko site to check.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint CTD00
Is it possible that the drum has rubbed through the back panel and has shorted out the wires from the heater? I have had this a couple of times.

ParticipantRe: reset one shot toc
I’m not having a dig here, only to educate and to pass on valuable information. I have done some research on this subject in a controlled environment. And, believe me, one shot stats are not designed to be reused. Resetting the stat messes up the calibration.
I have done laboratory tests to check the temperature that TOCs will cut out.
On new components the accuracy is within a degree or two. After resetting the device can be way out of calibration. Sometimes by over 30 degrees C.
This is not just my opinion but actual lab results.

I’d be looking for a chaffed wire in the motor harness. Usually the orange wire to the dryer stat, shorting to earth and supplying return feed to the neutral switched element.

ParticipantRe: reset one shot toc
I can’t believe the number of times this subject comes up.
Resetting a non-resettable TOC is total madness. Nobody here would short out a fuse in a plug! What’s the difference?
It’s engineers that do these practices that give this industry a bad name.
Rant over!

ParticipantRe: Huge potential appliance database?
Martin, this is a brilliant post. Perhaps in the wrong forum though.
It might be worth posting this in the technical queries forum, possibly with a more informative title 😉

ParticipantRe: Brandt Dishwasher similar to Hotpoint BF41 hinge assy
Thanks Jim.
I might be able to get the wire clip to fit on one side and achieve the adjustment for the door weight on the other hinge.
Thanks again

ParticipantRe: Brandt Dishwasher similar to Hotpoint BF41 hinge assy
Anybody else able to help here please.
The brackets are no longer included in the 32×3622 hinge accessory kit 😥
I am sure that they are the same part as used in the GDA BF41 range.
I wonder if there is a Hotpoint part number?

Thanks in anticipation

ParticipantRe: indesit IDL500 top spray feed seal
Any other ideas anyone?
It’s not part of the top spray arm kit C00094134 or the rear feed pipe C00056001
