I do free local call outs and estimates on freestanding washing machines and dishwashers but not on built in appliances and double door fridge freezers.
Im intrested to know if anyone does free call outs to integrated machines?hope it is the same, there are at least 3 versions that i have fitted, the one with and without the aqua sensor and one with a larger fitting to the sump.
Your equation only works assuming both engineers have the same work load, normally if you offer a free call out you will have a larger work load. Where I live competition is tight I can’t afford to not give free estimates, I would be out of work and begging for my old job back at Comic!

thanks chris but i think this is the part number i was given for the fridge door not the freezer /ice box
i think most people do appreciate the problems they have had and its certainly not the office staff fault that this situation has come about but unfortunatly customers have to come first and not receiving parts / loosing orders etc is unexeptable. I personally will give them another go in a few months when its all sorted.
also try removing it and individually crimping each of the pins closer together to give a tighter fit when it seats to the board
The one that still scares me when I think about it, replaced interlock and large double timer on Bloomberg washer, when testing machine customer was cleaning and actually leaned over and put her hand on the the timer as it was running!. I grabbed her hand and told her to be carefull. She was completely oblivious to how dangerous it was even when i left. Still dont know how she didnt get electrocuted.
I have stopped working on these since the 5 year guarantee started, take it you lot are still doing them then. How does that work?
Unbelievable people are normally overjoyed if you come early!
I have had drunk customers and personal threats from abusive people who should really be locked away, which I always reported to the office strait away.
Dont attend the call if you feel your personal safety is any way threatened, make a report to your office before the customer does in writting or if you work for yourself inform your public liability insurers before he does. If they hear about it from another insurer first it will go against you.
