Re: neff microwave cuts out after 2 seconds

Has anybody had any luck with this problem, as I have changed the inner door glass on 2 of these microwaves and the same thing has happened. Only dismantled the door by removing the outer glass, have checked the micro switches in the interlocks, but seem OK. Thanks Bruce

Re: Bosch Maxx8 E21 fault- unable to reset

Have now managed to reset it but seems a good bit different from the Normal.
Pressed start and prewash (next button) then turned 1 or 2 positions anti clockwise.
Now working. Hope this helps somebody else .

Try changing the dryer NTC. There is a modified one. Seems to be most common problem with them.

If you look at the back of the old seal, the part no. usually is on Hoover seals. Bruce

Hi Johny, have had a few problems with filters silting up, when you think there ok, the mesh is so fine. Scrub them with hot soapy water to clean them.

Try changing dryer ntc. Low insulation resistance possible. There is a updated version of ntc.

Re: Beko going into full speed spin immediately.

Have had many of these with a cracked tacho magnet.
I have replaced the magnet with one from old hotpoint FHP (AEG type) motor.
To achieve this you have also to remove the brass part left on the shaft of gage Beko motor and tap on the replacement magnet. Fits a treat. 😀

Re: Hoover Nextra D/W no heat

Had oneon a Hoover that would not heat, re soldered the relay connection on pcb , and this seem to cure it! Have not been back – some months ago. the connections looked fine but often try this first as has worked on other dishwashers Too – but not always.
Worth a try then test by putting on to a quick wash as will heat right after fill. Hope this works. Bruce

Re: Hoover softwave – new brushes – burning smell

Pattern brushes I bought from Masterpart some time ago seem to be made of graphite and were burning out motors I fitted them to. Had 2 motors come back burnt out and worn out or stuck brushes, soon realised that this was the problem. Have not bought brushes from them again and have had issues with other pattern parts from them.

Taff wrote:Bosch dishwashers metering chambers blocked. I always carry a spare and take the old one back to my workshop and fill the affected area with Domestos toilet cleaner and leave it for a day. I then blast is out with water using a hose pipe with copper brake pipe connected to it. This enables the pipe to be directed to the blocked area of the chamber.

TaffA Bottle brush or flue brush can be used to clean out the pipe to the metering chamber from the sump without even removing the side panel and is often all is needed but the chamber is better to be checked for blockages.

    Re: Indesit W143S Door Seal

there is a tool to fit these,I worked for Hotpoint and have one. They are a modified pair of electricians pliers with 2 pillers welded@ 90deg at ends which hook in to holes in band. They always worked well for me.

No probs, just fit over lip of edge of tub! and hold on with the clips. If the old door seal is still attached to door it is ok to leave it on.

    Re: Genuine parts

yes , know what you mean, have had a few quality issues with pattern parts . But Masterpart seem to be poor quality. Have had carbon brushes that seem to be made from graphite, burning motors out till the penny dropped, dorr locks as mentioned+ latest one is the servis/merloni integrated fridge door hinges which after about a week the door goes out of alignment, catches units+ door won’t shut.
