    Same design,same materials,same production,same tooling etc. 🙂

So, the obvious question then becomes, is the cost cutting global and happening the same in Germany as it is in other territories? 😉

    K.

Germany mostly produces the higher range washers due to the higher production costs.
The B/S/H dishwasher factories in Spain, Germany and Poland are very competitive with each other! You would not believe the effort they put into quality control when they have to justify there own existence. 😉
The latest I heard is that the Polish factory had a slightly lower failure rate than the German one!

I know the washers look a lot cheaper (they are) than they did fifteen years ago, but (I.M.H.O.) I do think they are more reliable on the whole.

    German. They own it.

The perception by the consumer is that the goods are German made and, by inference, a quality product produced and built in Germany. And, they expect all the trappings that go with that, of course for buttons.

    The reality is not that.

That’s not to say that many others aren’t the same, a helluva lot of people thing Hoover is British (mad, I know) and that Hotpoint is still made in good old England.

    It’s a brand perception thing.

Can’t imagine B/S/H producing an appliance for Indesit.
I guess all Hotpoint dishwashers are now produced by Indesit.

It’s just that some people reading forums take opinion as fact.

    😕

I`m speaking facts, but only what is available in the public domain on BSH sites.

I have 20 yrs within the industry, 8 of those in BSH sites around Europe, I`m not about to commit career suicide to prove a point on a forum.

    Unless you pay me. 😆

Now you must know we are skint at BSH!

    Re: Bosch quality bearings!

BSH operate three factories in China.

    Chuzhou which produces Refrigeration.

Nanjing which has four factories, one produces motors, one Washers, one small appliances, one cooking.

    Wuxi, which produces washers.

Both Nanjing and Wuxi export to Europe, Nanjing has capacity to produce 10,000,000 units per annum and Wuxi produces 700,000 units per annum.

BSH expansion policy has mostly included investment in countries pre excisting companies, such as Wuxi which BSH holds 60{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} control alongside Wuxi Little Swan Ltd.

Its not the factories that are import its the people who design the products thats important.
    Very true.

All the little Chinese designer has to do is E-Mail the specs to Poland and the appliance is produced.
Are you saying that Chinese factory design a washer for the Polish factory to produce?

Now does that mean its a German appliance, a Polish or a Chinese.

    German. They own it.

One of the biggest reasons BSH invests in other companies is to reduce costs, it sells cheap machines and brands them Bosch etc etc.[/

I would suggest the reason is because those companies are already established in that country or market.

A large percentage of Washers built in Poland and Spain where designed by Balay techs in Spain using designs from the old Balay company.

    Evidence?

Just because its a German owned company does not mean there high quality.

No, but they have been successful for several reasons.

They simply E-Mail the various factories the specs found in cheaper companies they purchased.

I could E-Mail you the specs of many companies products without the expense of the acquisition.

When I was in Spain, I owned a Balay W/M and Dishwasher, they were the same as the Bosch models, only about 130 Euros cheaper.[/quote]

Bosch have owned Balay for many years.I remember working on a pre BSH Balay dishwasher that did not share anything with the Bosch appliances of the time or since

    Re: Bosch quality bearings!

The only Chinese Bosch appliance I know of is the free standing washer dryer.
And far as washer dryers go, it’s not that bad.

I don’t know how this appliance left the factory with the seal missing (if it did). But three years before failure???????

    Re: Ancient Gaggenau Dishwasher……

I have worked on few of these old Gaggenau dishwashers, but not for a while.
I think they are made by AEG but I’m not sure. They certainly predate the BSH acquisition of Gaggenau.
I’ll make a few phone calls and try and dig out an ENR.
