ParticipantRe: Siemens D/Washer Identification Label Scrubbed Off
Hell Boro, you’ve done a lot more the me (water?) I can count on one hand the number of the heaters I’ve changed. 😯
Never heard of any instruction to turn dishwashers upside down to affect a repair

ParticipantRe: Bosch WFF2001 pump
I always thought the pumps were very overpriced. Fitting a new pump can come to a third of the price of the cheaper models. 🙁

The kit will short out two wires, but has the instruction sheet with it .

Look very closely at the back of the pressure switch connector. I have seen the wires break here. 🙂

ParticipantRe: Gorenje
I can understand you thinking that we may regard Gorenja appliances as inferior.
But we would not treat the customer any differently.
The call centre would not treat the service request any differently… (They don’t always know the brand!)
I know Boro and myself may gripe (service engineers have to- it’s the law!) 🙂 about brands other than our own, but we, I believe, give as good a service regardless of brand.
What we say amongst our selves stays away from the customer. 8)
Apart from the odd delay getting some Tec info from Slovenia we have had no problems servicing these appliances.(AFAIK)
I would be interested to learn the reasons behind Gorenja’s move, but would be surprised if it was anything other than costs.BSH-MAN
ParticipantRe: Bosch fridge freezer faulty help needed please
With that model number it sounds like a sensor fault. The sensor cannot be replaced, but there is an inexpensive repair kit available that by passes this sensor.
A typical reported fault for this would be “fridge freezer not running, but if I switch it off then on it works —- for a while.”I think you may need professional help. 😉

In addition, how often does a BSH engineer tell a Bosch customer for example, that, “The Gorenje products I repair madam, are poor quality compared to this Bosch, you have a good machine here and it is made in Germany”. You can hear that being said in kitchens up & down the land.
Rudi
You must have excellent hearing, as I have never heard of any colleagues slating Gorenja appliances TO the customer ❗

Shame about Bosch service losing out though, as it certainly enhanced Gorenje standing in the market place in the consumers eyesUntil they needed a call 😉

Penguin45 wrote:Is the Viva stuff going to be the Balay product, or is it new altogether?
Chris.
I think it’s only Balay gear. I have been told that we will not be servicing this stuff!Regarding Gorenja, I thought this stuff was reasonable quality but it’s a shame the washer fronts are not removable as this would make them very easy to service.
I only see about one every quarter, but as they are sold by independents, location is everything. I won’t miss ‘em! 😉Yes, thankfully are own appliances are easy to service, but some of them are VERY complex, esp. Gaggenau.

ParticipantRe: Bosch WFB 2000 – Draining and spin trouble
If it fails to drain then it will not spin. Are you sure you have two separate faults?
Have you had a good look at the pump impellor by removing the filter and checking for debris.BSH-MAN

ParticipantRe: TECNIK appliances
Lots of times I’ve spoken to disappointed owners of Sittal made Tecnik washers who claims the salesman told them it was made by Bosch. 👿

ParticipantRe: Dishwasher door live
I’m assuming the loss of earth was at the socket, in which case this would be an installation fault and not a manufacturing defect.
It would be up to the engineer (or manager) but you MAY incur a charge even if it’s within the warrant period. 😯BSH-MAN

I’m sure it must be referring to if you removed the original lid for height reasons as you both suggest.
Yes, it’s only a height thing. 8)
