The hot diodes on the top module are in fact a βfeatureβ The purpose is to warm plates sat on top of the appliance! πBSH-MAN

The fault is almost certainly the evaporator sensor for the fridge. As the sensor is not readily accessible, you cannot just change it. π There is a repair solution! A replacement module (263782 IIRC) does away with the sensor by using time to control the fridge evaporator defrost instead of sensor info.
That will be Β£59.50 please.

BSHman could probably help me out hereGreg π
Yes youβre correct, some models do have this extra dry option. They tend to be a bit higher up the range. Off the top of my head I would say that this model hasnβt.
Iβve never seen any Bosch (or other brand) with a fan. Some Bosch types fill a large chamber on the outside of the tank with cold water for the steam to condense on.
It would be possible to add extra elements to almost bake the plates dry, 8) but the power consumption would go skywards! The watchwords these days are economy, economy, economy! π

They make the side-by-side (American style) fridge freezers for Bosch/Neff/Siemens and the quality is very good! π

anyway havent run dishwasher, mayb he changed the module as it wasnt activating drying cycle?
can i ask does anyone know what this machine particular model does on the drying cycle, does it have a fan or does the element at the bottom dry them or how does it dry apart from the hot water final rinse, thanks
It dries by heating up the water on the last rinse, adding the rinse aid and then draining. The condensation on the rear panel is not unusual. Is the rinse level going down as the appliance is used ? How are the normal (non eco) washes? You should have no problem getting your money back for the glass. It can be a struggle at times to fit through door ways carrying a tool case and a laptop. π³ Where do you live, Ireland ? (euro ref) π

Un plug the appliance, the have a look in the drip tray, mounted on the compressor (big black bottle at rear near floor) if the smell is coming from in the tray and you cannot remove to clean, put some dilluted bleach in.
The fan may only operate when the door is shut! -
