Yes there is only two reasons why this would trip and thats the element or compressor so given that you disconnected the element and runs it has to be the element . You need to remove the draws and then the internal rear panel which will then exspose the evaporator and element assy . not a big job .

When the old element has blown it seems it may of fused the contacts on the selector switch in front of the thermostat together you need to check this

Re: Zanussi washing drum not spinning in operation or stoppe

You should be able to turn by hand so either you have something like a sock jamming the drum (usually the sock would be wedged between the door seal and the drum) or the bearings have collapsed and seized

for the connection to of burnt out suggests the amp tag was only loosely fitted onto the terminal and has begun arcing . I would be contacting the repair company and insist they repair their mistake fast !!

Re: Baumatic B187SS-B Randomly Losing Power

I would firstly check (if its on a socket) that the plug is fully in socket or that the socket and the plug arnt burning out check the pins of the plug for signs of arcing if its wired to the wall then i would check the connection there and the isolater switch. If thats ok it could be the internal cut out at the back of the cavity inside the appliance that needs renewing.

yes it could do . salt dosent need filling that often so rather than replace the tank just keep it topped up to the top (as long as your not using those combination tablets)

The sensor is on the outside of the salt container its either the float thst has stuck or the reed switch but first try filling it to the top with the salt but if your using combination tablets that contain the salt then you dont need it anyway

Re: zanussi de6965 salt level indicator problem

it works by a ball which passes a reed switch on the side of the tank it can be a while before the light illumites when low on salt though also some versions have a 3 in 1 or multi-tab button if you have have either and you have selected it then neither the salt or rinse aid lights will illuminate

All thats wrong is that the wiring connection to the interface pcb at the front needs cleaning up this was very common on this model.
