ParticipantRe: Inedsit IS70C Dryer Water in heater housing
Take the condensor out and put your hand in to the back and there are channels that drain the water down the duct into the sump.
Usually the channels and the drain hole to the sump get blocked with fluff causing the water to back up.
Take the cover off the pump housing too and pull the pump out and clean up the sump.Stick a large cable tie up the drainage hole too.cessna
ParticipantRe: Hotpoint 6556p Dual Fuel stand alone cooker
If the display is not responding its either the buttons wear (pull timer buttons out and compare the length of the stems or more usually it will be a faulty timer i’m afraid.
Also try turning cooker off for 10 mins when you turn it back on it should flash 0:00 and A .
Hold the first two buttons (left) in and press the end button (far right) in.
This will set a time and turn Automatic off.
I could be wrong with first two buttons on some models so if no joy try holding second and third together and pushing end button too.cessna

ParticipantRe: FZA81 Hotpoint FrostFree Freezer Problem
Unusual fault on this model.
Is the dissipator ( plastic dish on compressor) gunged up?
They can get slimy and blocked.
Undo the screws holding it on and you can slide it out to clean.
When putting it back make sure its not far away from the compressor so it can evaporate the water.
I take it you have put something down the gutter hole and can see it pop out the other side?
Another thing to check is the appliance level and not leaning forward.Worst case is if the gutter heater is open circuit then it can’t be repaired as it is foamed in.

ParticipantRe: indesit door catch
on partfinder it lists 2 locks one saying after dc- 40419… which is not fixed by 2 screws through the panel and
the other one which is probably what you need but says nothing about date codes and is part – C00085357

ParticipantRe: what do you think of this machine !
As a Merloni engineer myself i have only been out too about 5 genuine faults on these machines which have been out 2 years now.
Don’t know why the Aqualtis is so reliable compared to the other ranges. ❓
Saying that i’ve not been to one moon machine yet.

ParticipantRe: indesit washing machine Wia111uk on off light flashing
If light stays on when you turn the dial to off then it is a module fault.
Quite a common fault on this model. If it’s insured or under guarantee then get it seen to if not and you can live with a flashing light then leave it.
As you say the appliance will still operate normally.cessna
ParticipantRe: Ariston Margherita 2000 – I also have a problem!
When the filter is jammed like you describe i’d say 8/10 times i can still open it just by turning the filter left and right continuously quite firmly but not forcing it and you find it will loosen and finally open.

ParticipantRe: hotpoint intergrated dishwasher
Quickest way to check for dispenser and if it’s heating is to put it on the rapid/fast wash program.Few minutes after initial fill you should hear the clunk of the dispenser opening and then the heater comes on.
If you use the other programs they will go through prewashes first before getting to the heating stage.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint condensor dryer problem
I would question the customer a bit more like,
does she overload the dryer every now and then?
Is anyone else using the dryer apart from her?
Does she use them dryer freshner sheets when shes drying it could be laying across the filter causing a reduced airflow, overheat and the stats to trip.May 19, 2008 at 7:19 pm in reply to: Help Needed ! Can I get a non FFD cooker installed in a flat #252449cessna
ParticipantRe: Help Needed ! Can I get a non FFD cooker installed in a
I install gas cookers (Canon,Hotpoint,Indesit ones) and the quick run down is if you live in flats or a house converted to flats and you buy a new cooker it has to be one that has the flame saftey devices fitted to all burners.
If the appliance was manufactured before Jan 2008 which you would know by the serial number then any gas cooker can be installed.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint RFA60 freezing problems, coolant leak?
From what you have said it points towards a system fault.
Needs an engineer to break into the system and check for gas leaks/blockages.cessna
ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Fridge Freezer FF92P Fan motor problem.
You have to push the fan off the motor spindle then the motor comes out to the side in between the plastic supports.
Replacing it you put the loose fan in first then the motor goes in as you took it out.
The slightly tricky bit is you then have to pull the fan back onto the motor spindle. It will only go on one way so look at the semi circle shape of the spindle and fan hole.
If your old motor is still turning you only need to replace the fan probably.
If when putting it back you notice the fan hitting the housing push/pull the fan along the spindle until you get clearance or very slightly loosen one of the three screws.
Some models had a pozi screw others had a 5.5mm socket.February 26, 2008 at 9:05 pm in reply to: ‘B’ grade hotpoint washers sold as ‘A’ grade on internet #207112cessna

I finally contacted Hotpoint and received an email confirmation directly from Hotpoint that the machines delivered to us were indeed ‘B grade’ appliances and did not come with any guarantee. Hotpoint stressed that ‘B grade’ appliances were sold from their factory outlet and were called ‘B grade’ because there was some kind of damage to the appliances.
Hotpoint have told you they are b grade and dont come with warranty so what the hell has it got to do with them.
As mentioned it’s the shop where you bought them from thats at fault. The shop is buying them in from Hotpoint as grade B machines which is quite legal and anyone can do.The shop is then selling it to you saying it comes with full guarantee which is where they are at fault.
You keep on being told the situation after all this time yet you still go on about writing to Hotpoint when it’s nothing to do them them as they have told you grade b appliances are not covered.
It’s the shop thats mis-sold you the appliance.cessna
ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Mistral plus FF80 temp problem
Open both doors.
Does the front part of the cabinet that seperates the freezer and fridge feel quite hot?If so the condensor fan has stopped working and your compressor is overheating and cutting out resulting in these kind of temps which used to be a common fault on these.
Also pull away the bottom plinth as there can be a large build up of dust in the intake for the condensor also can cause faults which would just need a hoover out.
