ParticipantRe: Hotpoint drum
Yes they are easy to fit and i think they now come with instructions in the pack as you have to lift a metal tab so it clicks back into place don’t just slide them straight in otherwise it wont hold.
Another thing you have to be careful of is that no clothes or bits of clothes has gone down the hole as it blocks your filter. You can shine a torch into the hole to see the top of filter.Be careful if putting fingers in as the drum is razor sharp there.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint RFA60
If he diagnosed correctly it was the condensor this can be repaired.
The appliance is under 5 years old so you would only pay the fixed charge Hotpoint charges as parts are free.
Just for your info the part number for the condensor is 2602890.cessna
ParticipantRe: HOTPOINT RLA34 WILL NOT TURN OFF
When you say it doesn’t turn off do you mean the compressor is continuingly running? If so then it’s a stat problem.
If you mean you turn the dial to the off position it is normal for the light to stay on but the compressor should not run.
If it does run then its either the stat or the control wheel is slipping on the spindle of the stat and not turning it off.
Don’t seem to sell the stat here but the part number is 2603481 – around £10-£14 depending where you get it from.

ParticipantRe: Indesit ISL70C condenser dryer problems
That will be the heater elements you are looking at.
The thermostats will be the small round devices with wires running to them above the heater. You have to take out the tiny screws that hold the elements to the panel to gain access to the thermostats.cessna

ZeroAA wrote:Hello,
The machine just either sits there taking water in, in which case nothing else happens, or takes the water in, and simply sends it down the drain again. Is there anything I can do remedy the problem.
Drain hose hasn’t slipped down and just syphoning water out is it?cessna
ParticipantRe: Hotpoimt WD860. Flood Dispenser
Whenever you get a call to a vougue 2 or 4 Hotpoint with water coming out of the dispenser always check the filter first.
It doesn’t take much rubbish in the filter to cause overfilling faults.cessna
ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WD860 – Vibration When Drying
Ahh with that info then it sounds like your pump has come out of its slots.
There shouldn’t be any foam lumps there and is probably packaging from new.
The pump slots into the bottom on the right hand side when viewed from the rear. There are 2 holes that the feet of the pump slot into then you push it towards the right as it clicks into place.
If the pump is loose this would have caused alot of vibration.cessna
ParticipantRe: indiset fault
It is located in the heater.Take back panel off and you will see the heater at the bottom. Resistance at room temp (20c) should be around 20k ohms.
Most of the time it will be nothing to do with the ntc and is usually always a control board fault. This board would need replacing along with an eprom.TURN POWER OFF BEFORE LOOKING.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WD860 – Vibration When Drying
Get the engineer back to check as it’s probably a loose dryer fan.

I work for them and as Grendel says just give it a smack i usually do it in the centre with one hand.
Not normally a problem on washing machines it’s the tumble dryers that can be the difficult ones.
Don’t worry you wont break anything.cessna
ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Mistral FF72P casing gets hot
Could be intermittent problem with the condenser fan motor.
If that fails you get temperatures and heat at the places you say.cessna
ParticipantRe: Cannon Timer Buzzer
It’s usually setting the minute minder to get the alarm to sound.
Then press and release minus button whilst alarm is sounding.
Twice to get into the function then once if you require a different tone.
Continue to press for the third tone.cessna
ParticipantRe: Are Indesit taking the widl!
I work for them and i hardly go by the fault codes they throw up.
Most of the time it will be the board at fault. -
