thanks mike,gandh1 for the good advice.went into rental agency this morning and told them that it was impossible to diagnose power board without programmer working, explained that i would have to give them two quotes and that if programmer rectifies problem all good and well but if not they were commited to carrying out power board replacement. i said i am not willing to be liable for cost of parts if they pull out half way through job. they accepted these terms.

p/n 949711720. looking for a bit of reassurance on this one before i order programmer.symptoms are no display, evidence of spillage on programmer board, bleep can be heard.tested every thing else power to controller.obviously no fault codes so no way of proving whether any other faults lie in main power board. both programmer and power board expensive and non returnable. supplier has never supplied one of these previously. thinking of writing this one off as too much money for a single oven. dont want to get caught.paul

hi the switch is mechanically operated on the lock itself.to be honest am not too familliar with this model myself.tds info very good in fault finding.been out to this one this morn and determined it is the control board that is faulty.checked all stats and elem.looks like some kind of spillage has made its way onto board.checked res at supply and showing(according to tds) that it is the control and not power board. cut off switch on wall by passed so should have walked away but it was rental agency who can supply a bit of work to me. have told them

had a think about this on and was wondering could it be caused by faulty door lock due to it being a pyro oven. had a look on w/diag and showing micro sw on lock.paul
