    Had the exact same problem on a wma hotpoint today. Although as soon as the door unlocks it stops. Will let you know if i find a solution !

    Chelsea and City winning keeps the pressure on Liverpool to perform against West Ham. Another good day of sport tomorrow with the F1 and Boat Race too.

    I’ve had a few of these. The machine runs ok, but when the motor gets hot it suddenly tries to spin fast, fully loaded and full of water. machine jumps around for a second then stops.
    Solution was always to change the motor.

    Still have raw Hotpoint/Indesit/Beko available at £30 per unit. All have good bearings.

    Recent customer had a similar problem. Cleaned filter etc, then realised she had the machine in a kitchen cupboard, thus making the machine overheat every time she used the dryer with the doors shut.

    I got stung myself a few years ago,
    A guy in Aberyswyth who trades as JAYS DOMESTICS
    I think he also operates in TELFORD
    Some of the ‘Reconditioned’ machines we got off him had their plugs wired incorrectly, thats how bad it was !
