ParticipantRe: FSB
They do a good deal with Card machines through Bank of Scotland. Even B.O.S admitted they couldn’t do better and they are one of the better ones on fees. They also have good deals on vehicle finance, insurances and legal disputes. It’s all a saving at the year end innit!!! 😉

ParticipantRe: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
Why do they only call you when its making a banging noise on spin.
The husband thinks it could be the bearings. 😡How come they dont notice the squeak 😡
Or the rumble 👿
Or the tube train coming in 😈
Or the fact that it’s been screaming its head off for two weeks ❓
WHY CALL US NOW THAT ITS COMPLETELY SH*G*ED OUT. 👿
👿 :haier:
I’m sorry but it’s nearly every so called bearing job I’ve been to recently.Nurse pull the curtains please 😥

ParticipantRe: Who charges what for what ??
With some of the Lux /Zan brushes retailing at around £35 to £40, even 1600474 carbons are £16.50 ish, I’d say up your prices by at least a half and that would be more realistic.
Bearing price is roughly the same as us, except most of them need the heater, door seal and suspension kit as well which ends up as a write off in most cases.Tony C

ParticipantRe: Way off topic. Noisy light switches!!
Thanks Gents,
Trouble is we’re trying to keep costs down at mo and not having a man on the lights is one such saving. Its all down to little me with various sound to light modules and pin spots/ strobe etc on foot switches. I know there are some footswitch units on’t market but none of them seem to do enough without going into programmable DMX stuff (Which also means the drummer keeping in time with a box!!! 😉 )

They may also repair smaller items that are brought in for repair by members of the public, such as microwave ovens and sewing machines.
Ah those integrated sewing machines we all know and love…..
I must get all my old singer manuals out for the workshop, there’s gonna be a flood of ’em now. :rotfl: :rotl::eeek: Oh gawd. Don’t go giving Merlindeloni any new ideas.

When they try to wangle a free call out.
We advertise no LOCAL call out charge and wer’e in Preston.
We ask where are you they say Preston.
When they give you the address its in another town 10 miles away.
‘But its got a Preston postcode’
BUT IT ISN’T LOCAL AT THAT DISTANCE IS ITOR when they quote bits of your advert to you
‘ but it says same day call out available’ not after five in the afternoon!!Tony C
