    Ken,
Just a thought. Are you a member of the FSB.
They make quite a thing about their free legal representation for members. Don’t know how set up they are, but the membership fee would be a cheaper option.

Talking of sharp edges. Just been given a WM63 by a customer who has her arm bandaged up to the elbow. She tried to change the belt and after the injury decided to buy another machine. 😯

Another gold plated door is it. I’m presuming this is just a flap type like any other inner frz compartment?

Delivery man from a firm of I know, was left to bring an unpacked new style Hoover top loader into the house while the senior lad was disconnecting the old one. Pulls the old machine out and turns round 😯 😯 to find one top loader UPSIDE DOWN on the sack truck.
    He lasted three days.

Re: Amusing Ancedotes & Other Tales

Got a day in the shop today 😥 so I’ll probably be posting my memoirs.
This isn’t exactly work related but did happen while sat in the HPT van having my butties in an area of North London that at that time was having a vice clean up.
I was parked up near a block of shops after buying lunch when I got a tap on the passenger side window.
As if from nowhere (no, not Mr Benn) a bedraggled looking woman had come out of a block of flats and sidled up to the van.
Now at this time, lets say I must have been suffering from an attack of severe green-ness. I opened the window to be asked was I looking for business.
Being the company type :rotfl: and not wanting any more work that day I replied” Sorry love. I don’t do private jobs!” 🙄
    Exit one flummoxed working girl.

Once I came to my senses and realised what she meant I got to my next call and collapsed in a fit of giggles.

    Berk!!

Re: Amusing Ancedotes & Other Tales

Had a call recently to a Hoover ac110 in a local pub.
Arrives at the bar 🙂 😆 😥 to be told “The machine is upstairs in the staff loo’s”
Went up to find ac110 full of water with a cooked pump motor. Emptied a length of chain 😯 from the chamber fited a new pump motor, had a laugh about the chain (apparently a ‘toy’ of the chefs) and left.
That evening get an irate landlord / manager on the phone saying that the machine had the same fault after I left.
Returned next day, same barman slightly red faced.
“Er sorry, you were meant to go to the flat upstairs” so off I go to the managers flat where there is another ac110 with a……..blocked, cooked pump.
Ah well, another day another identical bill 😉

Masterpart and Electrue seem pretty fast to us, always next day. But with the speed of delivery some parts disintegrate on re-entry 😉
