Weird. Exactly the same fault as Jim. Must be an ‘oop North fault’. On this I found a collar stiffener in the pump, catching against the impellor. Thought I’d solved it but she rang back later with same fault 😥 . She is getting the fault around 1 in 5 washes also.

Cheers Martin. I will `give it a try. Had a few oddities recently in the megger department, stuff going down under load and perfect when initially tested.

I got two for a tenner off ebay, of oriental origin. They make great torches!

    Re: Hotpoint WDF740 nightmare call

Does anyone know the correct part number for the 3 way fill valve on this machine. Numbers are 80 9150145 //54737
Also can the valve flow restrictors be bought separately anywhere. Have checked and double checked everything on this machine but can find nothing else to cause the fault. Got them to put dry towels in bn the 40 minute setting and they came out damp 😈 . I have seen mention of a valve mod on the washer dryers, is there a reason it was changed?? This call has me absolutely baffled. 😥

Parerwork coming in next few days for the machine. As I am a complete novice on these things…is that it?? Do I just give them my bank account details and the money goes in directly. I’ve read somewhere about merchant services which presumably is where all that side is set up, presumably that is all organised or would I have to organise that seperately.

Founda piece of polythene wrapping lodged in the pressure chamber 😀 on a subsequent call. Now the clothes just come out wet not hot anymore 🙁 .
I hate this machine now 👿

Stop shouting I have a headache!!
Take out the pcb and if you have a magnet run it alongside the pcb reed switch whilst putting a buzzer or meter across the two contacts, if it doesn’t give a reading (or buzz) the preed switch is goosed. Had loads do this. Also check the path back to the main pcb for poor connections. HTH

Heater is around 7meg to earth. I’ll give it a shot but presumed that would be fine.
