ParticipantRe: New Underpants Required
Had a similar one last week. Smart alec on the phone when I phoned for directions made me wary before I got there.
Got in the kitchen to find a Servis wm with back and top off. He follows me in, wife and young child already in said kitchen. Same as you…er is the plug out. No I know what I’m doing he replies, ignoring me asking him to take the plug out first, he picks up a cheap volt stick and follows the live in saying he thought it was an internal fuse but it all seems ok.
Off he toddled, again ignoring me telling him how f~~~ing dangerous he was!!!
Turns out he had left it in this condition a couple of hours. Some people are just plain stupid!!!!

Oh Jim, pray tell. From being my main supplier for 11 years that lot with the moth eaten website are lucky if they get an order a month now because of various cock ups. That’s only because they are cheaper on some parts though, loyalty has gone through the window.

ParticipantRe: what you should not do……….
Had one yesterday, Bosch w/m, walked into utility and she had kindly got someone around the night before to get the machine out as she knew it was in tight. Walked into kitchen and the top was removed with a piece of wood covering the front half of the cabinet but nothing to the rear, capacitor exposed, plugged in. I did my best dramatics to get the point across to find that just before I arrived she’d been cleaning the cabinet top, tub etc with a damp cloth. That would have been just an out call to if it had gone wrong for her!!!
They had a handyman in to install the appliances when they moved in 5 years previous.
On a slightly less serious note, the tumble dryer (old style Hotpoint 93) had the same treatment and she was wondering why it took so long to dry the clothes.
Mad!!!

Is that not around ’82 Jim. I thought 1800s were still made in the early 80’s?

ParticipantRe: WT960p tub rear half
Ah found it, 3rd of March. Doesn’t say anything about week late orders though :rolls: . Still would’ve been better putting it on the front page of their website when it’s useful info.
At the moment I keep getting blank emails from them about invoices, I presume they are test emails or summat?Tony
