Having a barney with a private landlord at the moment.
Indesit hob with a blown regulator. When I stripped it down and isolated the regulator found that all the regulators were low res due to water ingress. All back together and reinstalled, landlord informed and he decides to buy new. send off half labour bill which he now disputes citing the old call out charge guff when it was explained in minute detail before the job. Also has practically called me a liar saying that he’s had another ‘engineer’ out who said theres no water in it and nothing wrong with it apart from a broken knob (even though the knob in question is disconnected and labelled internally.
).
For £20 is it worth persuing…..damn right….matter of principle here!!!!
Sorry for going off topic but all ours are agent faults….wires off etc if need be.

With the customer stood next to me today looking on as I’m getting ready to fit an ISE2.
Disconnected the old fill hoses, plugged in the old machine :con: ……………then cut the mains cable off  .
BANG.
Customer didn’t notice a thing 😯 .TC

ParticipantRe: Weird Belling model number
😳
Cheers Don. Had I not washed my hands before posting I would have seen the correct model number before the GR and not the smudged version. Customer caught me on the mobile in the butty shop and I’d nothing else to write on.TC

ParticipantRe: ISE 5 are the doors reversible?
Had a customer just the other day whose mate was an ex engineer :rolls:. Apparently his mate told him if its made here the hinge is on the left and abroad the hinge is on the right :rotfl: :rotfl: .
By that reasoning in a couple of years they’ll all be on the right!!! 😉TC

ParticipantRe: Disposing of old appliances
I’m getting seven machines picked up today by a registered waste company but while getting them ready for pick up a query came to me.
If (like me) you work from home, do we not need another licence to keep the machines at our property ready for pick up?
Apologies if its already been covered.TC

I hate this dishwasher. 😈 😈
The wash circulation continues at low power all the way through the wash.
Originally it used to go into a turbo setting soon after starting . Pretty sure its the board which controls it but anyone got info on these. 😕TC

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool awg349/4 display fault
This is going to be one of those days (weeks). Found out the price for the board from Whirlpool.
£309.82
I’m going back to bed to get ready for grief. With the main board already fitted at £200+ (adamant they wanted it repairing 😯 ) there’s only one loser in this 🙁TC
