New Years eve and my Birthday.
So why am I in bed with the worst cold for years when I was due to meet me mates at four after the match. 😥Everytime I have a few days off I end up with the lurgy.

Happened to me once. An old hoover logic 800 pump winding burst into flame when I was testing the it. The machine was in an outhouse, I unplugged it, tipped it back to see what was on fire and then threw a washing up bowl of rainwater on to it to put it out.
Didn’t have a direct pump replacement so off I toddle to the local supplier(when we had one) and on the way got a call from the customer saying she’d been talking to a friend (why do they always talk to a friend after a repair??) who said you shouldn’t throw water onto electrics 😯 so don’t come back. 🙄

Going through a house move at the moment so I’ve just priced up BT’s divert. It costs I think £150 to set up, plus a quarterly payment, plus each call is chargeable to you for the diverted portion. That could get costly, and as Dave said is it worth the hassle?

Had this a lot when people have skin problems and use petroleum jelly to help with it. The door seal composition just goes weak and droops until it splits. Yep same problem with pubs, restaurants etc. causing a chemi reaction of sorts when greasy towels are washed at high temps.

And I found out purely by chance on an unrelated matter a few months ago looking at a site regarding business rates.
Funnily enough we never got a letter from the local council informing us we were entitled to a rebate either
